ben-018.jpgben-017.jpgThis is Sir Wynnstan, my springer spaniel pup.  He is 11 months old, and I believe he is terribly confused.  He's not sure if he is a dog or a cat.  Although I must admit most of the time he thinks he's human.  I was sitting at the computer, which is in the lower level family room, when he decided he should be on top of the computer desk with the cat.  He then decided this would be a good place for a nap.  After I took the pictures, I had to scold him a bit and inform him that he should not be on the desk.  He just gave me those puppy dog eyes.  This dog is spoiled rotten, but I do love him.

Well, he's probably thinking, "If the cat can get away with it, I can too!"
Beautiful pets by the way....  bear_flower

Deb,

There is something about a springer that does steal your heart.  When we went to pick out a pup from the litter, we had planned to get a female.  However, Wynnstan had other plans.  Out of 11 puppies, he was the one that picked us.  This is our second time owning a springer, and they are so personable.  I guess the other reason Wynnstan is so special to me is because my daughter bought him.  After she passed away, I then realized that she wanted me to have Wynnstan as a remembrance of her and our great times together.  Wynnstan is almost a clone of our first springer, Beau, who grew up with my daughter.  So many great memories.

Also, my husband says Wynnstan cannot sit up on the desk with the cat because Wynnstan weighs a bit more.  He accused Wynnstan of bowing the desk top.  I think Wynnstan was offended by those remarks. bear_angry

Sue Ann,

Those are the most well behaved deer.  I have trained them well!

we must have spent 2 hrs looking at the litter..they only had males left.it was between a black and white,,and the two largest liver and whites...snickers just kept quiet and snookered us in..i was concerned about how active the blackaand white was,,(HA! fooled me!) hes probably still napping quietly somewhere! we fell for the freckles on his nose..he was hell on wheels for the first two years! he did stay of the shelving tho...  and hes been  joy. he want to play with our cat but she still HATES him..does yours use his paws? they smack each other back and forth..deb

What a wonderful picture.    Isn't he the dearest little soul.  They so want to join in don't they, and I imagine he has no idea that he is a bit too big to be on top of the computer desk.  Our little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has no doubt whatsoever that he is human and he is also our second child.  Whatever our 11 year old daughter does - he does too, sometimes with hilarious results.  What would life be without our beautiful animals?

ben-021.jpgDeb,

Sorry to take so long to answer your question.  I'm trying to get ready for the holiday.  We are going to have the 3 children that my son is trying to adopt for Wednesday and Thursday.  Plus we are having a crowd here on Friday.  So, back to your question, Yes he does use his paws.  Not only when he's playing, but when I'm eating and ignoring him, he will gently slap me on the arm.  He gets more impatient if I have watermelon.  That is his favorite, and mine too.  Is this a case of like mother like son?

Gaby,

As far as who spoiled him,  I'm not talking.  Maybe these little elves come in at night and spoil all of the animals around here.  Something is definitely happening.  As you can see from the picture, Wynnstan is not the only one spoiled around here.
