I nipped over to the Doll and Teddy Bear Fair at the Motor Cycle Museum at Bickenhill yesterday. It was FAB!! So BUSY...I bought lots of lovely treasures for the bears...mainly vintage clothes ..and some fabulous English mohair which cost and arm and a leg but I just HAD to have it.
Not too many artists there and I would be interested to see how they did...I have booked a stand at this fair in NOVEMBER because it's near to home. Ten minutes down the road for me. There were lots of vintage bears and some very nice dolls....also some of the fake babies..( yuck!!) but it had that sparkly feeling and we had a great time and as I came home broke I need to save up for the next one!!
Anyone else go or was it just me?
Yep - I went!!! I went with hubby and my Mum, and I met my aunt and cousin there. My aunt collects dolls, and my Mum makes dolls, so along with my love of bears it was a great fair for us all to go to!! We had a great time!! There was so much to see! It was great to see a queue before opening, and there was a real 'buzz'. I'm not sure how much money was being spent on bears though?
We'll be going again next time I hope. It was rather nice to go to a fair without having a stall!!! It felt like being a child again when I used to go to fairs with my Mum and Aunt!!
Oh that does sound like a great fair, you will have to take photo's of it next time :photo:
Definitely when I am showing there...to be honest I never even considered taking my camera on Sunday..only because I was just hanging around and I never dreamed it wold be such a good fair!!
