Oooh we just did a thread on this!! Can anyone remember the title to the thread? Or a link? I'm naff with them, only remember someone else in the UK just asked about this with their older child. But there was loads of resources and info on it.
Positively useless, aren't I?
Yes, I home-schooled my daughter from 3rd grade through 12th (high school). When she started college she already had several college units, was qualified for the Honors Program, and she won an academic scholarship. So I guess I did a pretty darn good job!
Home-schooling is a full time job...but worth it.
I loved every minute of it and my daughter and I continue to enjoy an extremely close relationship.
I would highly recommend home-schooling.

Brenda Megga THANKS for finding the thread for me!!
No problem Deb! Cat, I hope it gives you some insight into the questions you have about home schooling.
hugs,
Brenda
I admire those moms who do home school, we did for a few years and it was rewarding....I think the kids learn in a different fashion, and the ones I have been acquanted with had stronger values, and something dear to my heart; they were taught how and learned how to REASON, which is something we are not seeing in US kids coming out of the publich schooling sector....which makes me terribly sad.
Iapplaud you for looking into it and wanting to give it a go-and aren;t they just as cute as can be! so special.....
