Melissa,
I've done clay and soft sculpture of animals for the past 20 years and I can tell you that Shapphire has very intelligent eyes. Get her some training classes and she will be magnificant

Aaaawwwwww .... Sapphire is a really gorgeous puppy! Such a wonderful expression which sort of says she is going to be an excellent and clever companion! Congratulations on the new addition to your family! I'm jealous!

Boy, she has really grown. I love the ears. Scottie ears can be floppy, too, for a while before they finally stand up. I love the look. She and the handsome young man with her seem to have bonded nicely.
thanks the handsome young man wont leave her alone so my guess is if she doesnt sleep tonight she can go in with him lol........ on his bed............ i cant believe same dog i thought i was given the wrong one lol....
She's still that wonderful intelligent puppy we saw from earlier photos. Whom ever gets to sleep with her is the lucky one! Let us know how she handles her first night?!
ok not a great night we shut her in the kitchen and she barked and barked then scratching at the door, we gave in and hubby slept down stairs on sofa and she slept on the floor beside him, dont know what to do to sort this out, but she is 16 weeks and used to kennels and her brothers and sisters next to her all the time, no mess in the house at all YET......just wont be left,,we have to sort this asap as she will get used to people around her all the time, either that or we have her upstairs with us dont know will have to think about it, we did try a stair gate in the kitchen to prevent her near the door but she could get her head through bars so not safe......were always told never let a german sheperd upstairs as keep below pecking order in the house, but this little girl wont be on her own at all.....maybe she will learn gradually who knows but we will try people have mentioned a crate but i dont know,,,,never liked the idea but saying that would stop her chewing and scratching, but would not stop her barking, she falls straight to sleep if she knows someone around, she eats fine everything ,just wont be left so any ideas let me know melissax
Hi Melissa
don't PANIC............we have always taken it in turns to sleep downstairs with a new pup, for the first few days........
it always takes then a wee while to get used to the household routine.
She looks really super and sweet - give her a few days, and she'll cope - and so will you!

thanks maria.... exhausted today due to her constant wanting to be with us all the time if i go out the room she is there all the time i am sure she will be ok just you forget that these bundles of fun are hard hard work and i want to make a bear lol i cant at the moment so i have the head done and sewing in between sleeps with doggy lol never mind she will get there perfect in all other ares though so cant have it all.xxxxxxxxxxx
Yes - they are hard work at the beginning - you tend to forget that, over the years! But their one saving grace.........they DO need a lot of sleep, and since you don't want to disturb the little "darling", sewing bears is almost a necessity (and blow the housework!)
have fun

Melissa,
We crate our dogs at night, they really relax..plus the crate is also in our bedroom, so the whole pack is there. Our 3 yr old shepherd is old enough to be loose, the other 2 when they get a bit older...the lab, well she's bit hyper and the only time she really relaxes is in that kennel crate, so she may have to be crated a bit longer than the boxer.
I used to think kennel crates were cruel, but it's really like their own den.
Good luck!

Awwwhhhh ~ tooo cute!!!
Sapphire is adorable Melissa and I hope that you get the sleeping arangments worked out.
Glad that she is fitting in with your family - they are hard work, as puppies aren't they.
Have fun with your new puppy.
