Awww how sad for the mother but the little guy is adorable...
He is just the cutest , sweetest little baby
Sometimes when I visit my Mum's (Cambridgeshire) a little face will suddenly poke out of the garden bushes , and it
will be a family of these Muntjac deer . I can never get over the size of their teeny little hooves !

So sorry about mom, but elated that her baby survived.
What a precious little miracle. He is so adorable and tiny. So very sad about his mom though .
I felt so sad about his mum, but was elated they've managed to save the little tyke. He looks like a strong one
Thanks for sharing the story Tami!!
Bless his little heart, born without his mum to look after him, how sad. The guys at Tiggywinkles Wildlife Hospital in Buckinghamshire are great, I have met Les a few times and I know he and all his staff are really dedicated to all the animals that they rescue. Tiggywinkles is not far from where I live and some of the staff used to take some of the animals into the school where my husband was teaching the kids loved it.
Hugs, Jane.
What a lucky little deer, it is always hard when you see a road kill. I often wonder if they have a baby joey as is the case here in Australia.
I'm with you there, Jane - last place we lived in England was Hughenden, just n. of High Wycombe.........
Tiggywinkles is just great - they do a fantastic job of wild life rescues. Never had the privilege of meeting Les, but I did buy his book on treating injured wild life, and one year treated family and friends to Hedgehog adoption packages for Xmas.
and the Muntjac deer are so sweet - I often saw little faces in the undergrowth while I was walking the dogs (two Irish wolfhounds then). Funny that the dogs NEVER bothered them - tho' I'm sure they knew the deer were there. Hughenden goes down in memory as the place with the cheekiest foxes - they all seemed to know just how long they could sit nonchalently "thumbing their noses" at the dogs, before taking off............a real GAME for both dogs and foxes!

Hi Tamil,
Isn't it amazing what we can do !
This little guy is a miracle, it's upsetting he has no mummy, but the guys at the rescue place will rear him until the day that he can be turned back into the wild.
Love Kayx.
