Hi

I was hoping one of the members could tell me something about my childhood teddy bear - he's about 8" high has a hardish nose and has a round squeeker inside which doesn't work now. He's at least dating from 1965.

Look forward to any reply  bear_original

I could be mistaken but this looks like an English bear to me. Definitely mohair. Possibly a Chad Valley ?

I'm thinking either Chad Valley or MerryThought....hard to tell with well-worn older bears sometimes.

If I were you I'd look into havint those pawpads replaced....his worn nose and missing fur add up to wisened character, but the missing pads detract from his appearance terribly.
