Just go to the Google website and search in the images for copyright free images Irene - you will find lots of bit and pieces there that you can use.

I just took one of my own nature photos and put it in the background of my avatar. Then I put some bears and text on top and painted the edges with a fancy brush (snowflakes). You can go outside and take closeups of grass, tree bark, any kind of surface you like.

Thanks for all these links and tips gals!  I see this is one of those 'computer thingies' I'll  have to get my head round and try to do, as it enhances photos so much.
