I was, too. It's wide spread.  I looked in blogger help, but found nothing, however that was late yesterday.
So I experimented, trying this and that.  Then I hit on something that fixed the glitch for me, it may for you as well.

When it sends you to the Google Sign-in page, uncheck the little box below that asks if you want to stay signed-in.
That's all I did and things were normal again.  I may have to sign-in more, but at least I can comment normally again.

Thought I'd add:  When you leave a comment on someone's blog and get sent to the Google sign-in page...

Reading through this thread brings back some not so pleasant memories.  It happened to me all too often.  I'd then get angry at myself, for being a wimp, but never them.  I wanted to say NO, scream NO, but felt I simply couldn't.  Well, I should have.  And would today.
Even buying a sofa bed is putting you out, taking up your time and your space.
I know how hard it'll be, but stand up and say NO, you can't stay here.
Or tell them to bring a tent, 'cause they're staying in the backyard!

I do it just like you do.
I tried doing the head, off body.  But it just didn't feel right, mentally.  As you said, it was disconcerting.
My bears have to speak to me, and the sooner the better.  Putting them all together does this for me.  Mouth or no mouth this is when they start speaking to me.

Hi Clare
Good for you for sending out this much needed message.
That said, I must admit to being one of the missing.
Like Sophie, I've had a bit of a rough year and just stayed in the shadows.  I'll try to come out of my cocoon and join in more.
I do miss all the past regulars that no longer participate.  Facebook stole many..

Huge Congrats to you, Eva!
That is super wonderful
and well deserved!

Pandora-2-3002-GD-sm.jpgHi all!
Kindly meet my latest creation, Pandora Pumpernickel.
Pandora, a wanna-be Panda, stands 7 inches short and was made from two vintage faux fur coats.
She's fully jointed, peers through black premium glass eyes, and has a pearl cotton embroidered nose and mouth.
Pandora sports vintage lace on her head and a vintage earring around her neck.
Pandora was a joy to make.
Thanks so much for taking a peek!♥

Alligator clips, in three sizes.  I love them!  I never use pins.
Second highest is my Fiskar spring-loaded scissors.  I agree with everyone, they're wonderful.

Tattie-5sm.jpgKindly meet Tattie Tumwater.
Tattie is a shabby-chic bear.  First in this style, which I’m calling my Tatty Teddies.  I love this scruffied-up look!
Tattie is made from a recycled faux mink coat.  Wispy and a bit sparse, it was the perfect fur for that careworn look.  She’s 7 inches, from head to tippy toes, fully jointed, and peers out through shoe button eyes.
Thanks for taking a peek!

Clarence-1.jpgI love working with different materials.  I'm making one out of a screen print fabric right now.  And Clarence here was made from an old army blanket.  I find it fun to experiment.
PS They do sell, just not for mohair bear prices.

Becky, that's a great idea!  I'm going to try it.
Thanks for sharing your discovery!

danceswithteddybears

Wonderful!  Thanks for sharing!

danceswithteddybears

Really funny!
Thanks for a good laugh
though, I must admit to have watched a rock or two
but never a fence knot..

danceswithteddybears

Oh Yippee!
I'm off to try it out.
Thanks for the eye-spy, Aleta!

danceswithteddybears

She's adorable!  Her nose and all the rest of her is perfect!

Don't know if this would be of help or not, but I use alligator clips instead of pins.  With pins I get far more crawl than with alligators.  I've used them for years and absolutely love them.  I use 2 sizes.

danceswithteddybears

I have to say it too ..Wow!
Wonderful pics.  So very enjoyable to see.
Thank you Alison, and Mr Alison!

It's a great idea, Aleta.  I feel the same way in regards to leaving/not having time to leave comments.  And sometimes the right words elude me, or we all wind up saying the same thing.  A "like" button would solve all that.
Can it be done?

What a wonderfully sweet teddy! bear_wub
