Thanks Julia  Your stall was fabulous! Everyone who stopped to look obviously loved your bears... rightly so, they are adorable I had a lovely time, it was so sweet for you and Mark to let me hide behind your stall and thanks for looking after me and to Olive and Angelo too who also kept me company and pointed me in the right direction when needed. Congratulations from me to all the well deserved nominees and award winners, the standard of the entries was amazing. The judges had a really hard job to do.
Now as promised I will attempt to post a pic of my wee bear Elliot... there's no-one to play conkers with! Hope it works! Big hugs, Claire

Thanks everyone. It's great to know that I'm not the only newbie. Sandra, I don't have a stall either and my bear and I are probably going to be getting there on public transport... hope I can get there in time! Where do I put my bear... is there a table for them or something? look forward to meeting those who can make it  I'll be the one looking a wee bit lost Big hugs, Claire
I don't think it has sunk in yet but my bear is on the BBAA nomination list... I did a wee dance too anne-marie  Congratulations to everyone else too. Will I see any of you at Hove? Being my first awards ceremony I'm a wee bit nervous. I will also post a pickie later.
Bear hugs, Claire
Sweet dreams Maria.
Concern on this issue is understandable but the group of bears being studied was relatively small and therefore the impact fairly small. I think it is important to remember that research is vital to our knowledge and understanding of wildlife. Sadly, humans have a profound impact on wildlife and when that is combined with ignorance the wildlife concerned suffers horrendously. Research and media coverage, when done in a sensitive and responsible manner, has a huge impact on wildlife wellbeing, when we know better we do better I thought it was a very informative documentary, gave me a very different and valuable perspective on wild bears, and it is apparently coming soon to iplayer.
