I love fairys, and mythical creatures, so i love including wings on my bears!
Does anyone know how to make fabric wings? I don't mean the kind with wire and an old stocking stretched over it, (although thease can be very effective) I mean if i found some chiffon or fabric I wanted to make a wing out of how would i  attach the wire without distorting the fabric?
If anyone can understand what I just said first prize is a hug!

i have had the same problem with a big bear i made not so long ago, and after reading some of the tips posted i have corrected it with shorter legs, and weighted pellets in the legs,  but he's still balencing abit!  so it needs abit of work, but thanks for the question, the replys have helped me aswell!

i'm new to this site and bear making, i recently bought off ebay some faux fur with long gurd hairs which make it look like feathers fantastic stuff!
But because it was only an off cut i can only make a small bear out of it, i emailed the person selling it, asking where i could buy it from, the supplier or shop and she wouldn't tell me
anyway i thought i would ask anyone out there, if they knew where it can be purchased from.
p.s a big thank you to kim from a bear by kim, for putting me onto this site, and she is having the same problem finding thease furs for her bears, her bears are fantastic made up in this fur. I am constantly amazed at the depth and skill displayed by all you artists, i just hope one day i can achive that quality!   love Abi
