Hi
i'm new to this site and bear making, i recently bought off ebay some faux fur with long gurd hairs which make it look like feathers fantastic stuff!
But because it was only an off cut i can only make a small bear out of it, i emailed the person selling it, asking where i could buy it from, the supplier or shop and she wouldn't tell me
anyway i thought i would ask anyone out there, if they knew where it can be purchased from.
p.s a big thank you to kim from a bear by kim, for putting me onto this site, and she is having the same problem finding thease furs for her bears, her bears are fantastic made up in this fur. I am constantly amazed at the depth and skill displayed by all you artists, i just hope one day i can achive that quality! love Abi
Bevery at www.imstuffedfur.com has been able to get some of the feather fur yet. She said that it is being discontinued so it is hard for her to get. I just ordered some as I wanted to try it. She is out of New York. Nice lady to work with. I have been ordering from her for over 8 years.
oh thank you, thank you i have just sent her a message, i hope she can help, and many thanks for your help! hugs abi
Edinburgh imports also carries one color of feather fur - in brown. The style number is S930-246
HI Abi,
Kim directed me to this site too and it is very addictive I have been looking for this fabric for a while and managed to buy some from ebay ID Swincraft (not sure if this is the one you were talking about, but they do sell one colour in half mtrs).
I also found a couple of sites in America, one previously mentioned and another is www.mendels.com. Hope you have joy with one of those. Perhaps you could get extra and sell on ebay here, it is very popular fur
Hugs Ali
Thank you, Ali!
I didn't know about Mendel's - what a terrific selection of faux fur and plush fabrics!

I didn't know about Mendels either, Thank you. There is another site that sometimes has some good fur in Los Angles...www.distinctivefabric.com I bought some short cow print fur from them when I was making cows. It is always great to find more places to find plush furs.
thanks Ali, Hi Becky, and Thank you Laura Lynn, i went strait to edinborough imports, really excited till i realised it was edinborough in the U.S not the U.K LOL  !
You have all been such help, it's great it's helping others too!
