ammon2.jpgammon1.jpgtwix2.jpgtwix1.jpgMay I introduce 'Bobbles' and 'Ammon' to you...
they are both crocheted bears of mine I recently finished.

Both are one of a kind creations and not for sale but for my private collection.

Both boys measure only 6 cm (2,36 inches) standing.

Bobbles comes with his own cuddly blanket which I crocheted out of sewing thread to make it fit to his size.
He is a nuzzling little fellow.

Ammon choosed to live in our Backgammon suitcase and 'works' as my lucky charm while playing backgammon with my hubby. Ammon does his job quite well... which drives my hubby nuts  bear_grin

Great!
I have some VERY pink and fluffy yarn around from which I couldn't decide what to make into for some weeks.
Guess it's becoming a bear! Now only for the friend.... well, I think the right idea is to come once the bear is finished  bear_grin

frottee3.jpgfrottee2.jpgfrottee1.jpgI actually gave it a try and sewed my very first bear and am very pleased with how he turned out
Of course I had no fur around since I usually crochet my creations. So an old terry cloth towel compaired with a yellow washcloth were chosen to give birth to 'Baby Frottee Bear'.

The pattern I used is available for free on craftbits.com and it's called Baby Pip.

Frottee has about 20 cm high, which is a wee bit under 8 inches and is completely handsewn.
After Frottee was finished I realized that he fits perfect in the something new from something old challenge, so here he is. I hope you like him as much as I do  bear_wub
He will become a get-well-soon-bear for my Dad who currently recovers from an eye operation.

Hugs, Andrea

May I enter the challenge with a crocheted bear and his/her friend?
If so, please count me in  bear_original

flocke2.jpgflocke1.jpgThis is Flocke and while she is a true polar bear she absolutely hates to be in the cold
but loves to snuggle up and play around in the warmth of a lovely home.

She is a crocheted bear, made out of Schachenmayr nomotta Rosato (which is unfortunately no longer available), very soft to the touch, has beautifull glass eyes, is 4 way thread jointed and measures about 17 cm high.

She is the first bear I made from my own crochet pattern in november 2008 and only two weeks later she was adopted. That is where it all started and I kept designing crochet bears.
