Hi Clare
I've not had the chance to catch up with anything teddy related for months and just logged on here for the first time in ages. What a fantastic first post to read
I'm thrilled for your wonderful news......many, many congratulations and hugs to you

Sam
Sorry to hear you're under the weather...what bad timing
I hope all those lovely bears cheered you up today and that the fair went well for you.
Take care

I studied both French and German at A level as I really enjoy languages. I hardly ever use them now which is a shame. It's surprising how rusty you get.
Now and again I order mohair from Germany and try to order it all in my dodgy german. I usually get there and I've had no nasty surprises in my mohair parcels.....YET
Kim, you are right. She is asking for the size of your item and what the postage cost to France will be.
As for your reply, I'll leave that to the experts
Possibly

Hi Paula
I can see why you're excited, boy they are stunning.
I was lucky enough to meet Paula and her bears in the fur on Sunday before she sold too many. Your stand was wonderful my dearie and your bears are utterly gorgeous and HUGE. I'm glad you had a great day and it was lovely to meet you.
I'll stick a label to my top saying 'Teddy Talk' -Kate and I'll try to say hello to as many TT'ers with stands as I can.
Have a great show everyone!!!!!!!
Oh Wow Dilu
The only beasts outside my place this morning were the dirty great diggers that arrived to rip up my neighbours driveway.......oh the noise

Wow Louise, I'm not surprised you've been busy with bears as gorgeous as yours.
Lila is exceptional, what fantastic facial detail.
Superb work as always, take care

Hi Shantell
Could you convince Shelli to make me a potbelly too???
I've just sewn up 3 bears in a row all ready to take with me on my hols next week when I shall sit in the Algarve stuffing them about 4pm when the sun on the terrace is just the right temperature
I look forward to seeing your bear pics.
MMMMmmmmm Thanks Mindy, I'll go and take a look...

Yes, this is the main news topic here. Gatwick airport which is close to us has been badly affected with most flights today being cancelled. This of course has a knock on effect over the next few days and traffic is chaotic as people are trying to get to the airport early to find out if their flight is affected.
No hand luggage is allowed except money, medicine etc but it has to go in a clear bag like a sandwich bag.
We have flights booked to Portugal on Tuesday so we will have to monitor the situation. I also hear that there have been 20 related arrests in the UK today so I'll watch the 10 o clock news to hear the latest.
My thoughts are with anyone stranded due to the flight cancellations.

Hi everyone
I have just posted a pic of my new bear on the Bears and Friends section but since I have been away from TT for a while I thought I'd post a few pics of some recently sold bearies.
I hope you enjoy taking a look. I've tried to catch up with this board this morning and there are so many lovely creations.
Black bear is Cobweb
Lighter bear is Mostyn
Bear with Hat is Rolfe
Sending you lots of warm wishes Penny for your Mum in law's speedy recovery.
I know how tiring all the travelling backwards and forwards can be.Try and keep your strength up and eat properly as I know you will be trying to look after everyone .
It's going to be even hotter tomorrow gals
I had to laugh because my daughter's sports day is often rescheduled due to the rain (well it is Wimbledon season).
However, tomorrow's sports day is being rescheduled because the government have issued a a heat wave warning advising the young and the old to take steps to prevent adverse effects of this very hot weather
Hi Shelli
On the health front - You carry on taking it easy and we all look forward to hearing next week that all is fine and it is just stress related.
On the bear front a couple of things spring to mind:
Firstly I was flicking through a few old back issues of bear mags this weekend and out of the 5 copies I picked, I found your work in two. Something I could only dream of This is why you have retailers knocking at your door and the customer base that any bear maker would envy.
Regarding the resales on ebay, I would agree with Judi and it's to do with economics. Last week, the husbands of two of my closest friends lost their jobs. One in the travel industry and one in Building. Financial insecurity can just hit you out of the blue and people instantly look at where they can save money.
This particular lady who is selling an early piece of yours is actually trying to sell the bear , not on its design but on your name and reputation. I think that speaks volumes but as the artist it would naturally feel disheartning when it isn't selling. You know yourself that at the time you wouldn't have sold it for that amount.
If it makes you feel better, list your next bear on ebay but don't forget to tell everyone what other projects you have been working on and how highly sought after your bears have become.

Oh Kim
Sorry the head didn't work out. However
for a great nose
