Mary !!!! (Hi Kiddo Bears ) Thank you soooo much for my adorable Christmas Beary - Joye !!! My daughter fell head over heels in love and hung her on the Christmas Tree straight away !!!

Also thank you for the divine butterfly charm and earrings - Pink being my favourite colour and all... I love them !!

Yippee !!! I have received the most beautiful gifts from a very talented lady - Thank You Lynn :)

A stunning handmade "birdseye maple burl" pen !!!    Will come in very handy now that I have started teaching again. A beautifully handpainted keepsake box and the cutest kitty ornament for my Christmas tree (better not forget the yummy chocolates that were also included :)

Thank you again Lynn and I hope my parcel arrives soon, not that it could in anyway compare to the effort that you have put into our swap

I hope you are able to get this sorted out quickly and that it is nothing serious. 

I had the thought that sometimes when we have had a stressful year/period we stay strong and bulldoze through it and won't allow ourselves to collapse. Then when things start to improve it is like your body gives you permission/forces you to take a rest. So even though you aren't stressed now maybe your body/mind still does need to recover from the stress you have previously experienced this year.
When I used to teach I couldn't tell you how many times I would get sick on the first day of the school holidays etc.

btw Mimzy was finally released on DVD here is Aus. last month. My 3 children loved it !!

Daphne - what a scrumptious nose.

I love the wet look you have there Chrissi.

A tip that I read on here that really helped me as I am a newbie was to sink the eyes before doing the nose. I was doing it the other way around and always found the nose to be a bit off center.

A friend shared a story with me yesterday when I was feeling overwhelmed - when watching a butterfly struggle from a cocoon it almost looks like it is not getting anywhere and that that the struggling is an unneccessary hardship. But the struggle is what strengthens the wings so it will be able to Fly...

As a child I always loved fantasy, my childhood toys, creating etc  and over the last 4 years, as a stay at home mum, I have had a chance to find that part of me again with my painting and crafts.

But then came along bears and they just captured my heart. I thought my creative nature was just a play but Louise you have made me think about really why.

Around the time I made my first bear my youngest started pre-school and I realised that I wouldn't be having any more babies that I would never again feel that wonderful sensation of a baby tumbling in my tummy or meeting my baby for the very first time. I know I am tremendously blessed with the 3 children I have but I guess I did grieve a bit and bears helped fill that void, so even though I won't be having any more human babies there are plenty of furry babies to be made.   

I haven't started collecting yet but I am most attracted to the sad sorry looking teds that look like they need a good hug - I guess that sums me up  :crackup:
