For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
Hi Julia,
I tried that and all it did was make me a follower of my own blog! Maybe they make it so you can't contact followers so you won't spam them? I suppose that is a good idea!
Hugs,
Janice
Hi Leanne and Donna,
The thing with color remover or bleach is that they tend to "burn" the mohair a bit leaving the feel not nearly as soft as it was
to begin with! If you do choose to do that, you can use the Mane N'Tail Detangle (for horses but you can buy at Beauty Supply Stores such as Sally's Beauty Supply) and that works wonders to soften it back up!
Hugs,
Janice
Help! The name "Lyn" was drawn as the winner of the mohair and since I am new to blogging, I can't figure out
how to email the winner to let her know she won! Her avatar is a picture of a cute, animated bear and the only
name associated with it is "Lyn"! I hope she is a member of TT or hopefully she will return to the blog to see she
has won - I also will post it on facebook! If anyone knows how to contact someone who is a follower of your blog,
will you please let me know how it's done?! Thanks so much and thank you to everyone who became a follower.
I will have more giveaways in the future!
Hugs & Blessings,
Janice P.S. LYN DID CONTACT ME! But, I still would like to know how to contact a follower! Thanks so much!
Hi Leanne,
Yes, it's called "overdye" and it is possible! You could put almost any color over it and you will notice a difference, of course with it being a dark color already, the color will only become darker but sometimes you end up with some really unique colors! I think green or blue would make a pretty color over the reddish brown that you are starting with!
Have fun!
Hugs,
Janice
Thank you, Cheryl! Hugs, Janice
Thank you so much, Ali! I appreciate your comments on the blog! If you do an ebay search for "odds & ends" and find something wonderful, I would love to hear about it!!
Hugs,
Janice
Thank you, Sheryl! I plan to do a few more over the next few months until there is enough room for the new "stash"!
Hugs,
Janice
I'm not sure how to tell you to find the "Follow Me" button, I'm sorry. If you would like, I can just write your name down since you've tried but can't do it! Denise, my friend really is an Angel, I was speechless when I opened the boxes! Thank you so much for your kind words about my blog and for following. I am really sorry for your loss. It was 18 months ago that I lost my Mom, too, and sometimes it still seems like it was a week ago. So many times things happen that I know she would love hearing about, so the blog has really helped me "share" :O)
Hugs,
Janice
Thank you so much, Tatyana - yes, it is the right expression and your kind words touch my heart
Thank you!
Thanks for explaining, Joanne - I would love to see a Braille Bear made from the winning mohair!
Hugs,
Janice
Joanne, I haven't seen so much beautiful mohair in one place since I last visited your house and Alison's house! I have enough to last a lifetime now! tee hee! Thank you so much for your kind words about my blog, it means a lot to me.

She's beautiful and I love her inner ears, Jenny! They almost look like our real bunny's ears!

Hello,
I created a blog a couple months ago one night when I was missing my Mom - I miss sharing my latest "projects" with her and decided to "share" on a blog - it has been good for my heart! Today, a dear lady gifted me with 2 huge boxes of mohair and I decided this would be a good time to share my blog with others and have a giveaway myself to make room for the new mohair! All you need to do to be entered in the giveaway is to "follow me"! I hope you will!
Thanks bunches -
Hugs & Blessings,
Janice
Hi Heidi,
Your blog is wonderful! You did a great job on it! I am following it, too, though my blog is not really a "Booh Bear Blog", I still would like to follow yours.
Thanks for sharing!
Hugs,
Janice
Hello,
I subscribed to Teddy Bear & Friends at the same time you did - the end of April and I live in the U.S. I haven't received my first issue yet, either. Since it only comes out 4 times a year, they may not start coming until Autumn. I have started and stopped my subscription several times over the years and I have found in the past that they always send the back issues (back to the date you subscribed). Of course that doesn't help if you want to vote for the Toby's as it will be too late if you have to wait several weeks ;O(
Hugs,
Janice
Us Bears - I love what you wrote and I would like to urge you to email the same letter to the Editors at both TBR and TB&F! I'm not sure about the competitions, I never participate, but I agree with the magazines being filled with way too many ads and not enough substance - wouldn't it be wonderful if our magazines went back to the way they were 10 years ago? Ahhh, those were the good ole' days ~
Hugs,
Janice
He's so beautiful! At first I thought he was the one that Gregory made and that I would see the picture of the one you made below it, when there were no more pictures, I decided to go back and read and found that this is the bear you created. You did an amazing job!
Hugs,
Janice p.s. It is very nice that you gave the designer credit, too. There are many artist's who will not.
Congrats, Debora! Though I can't read a word of it, the pictures are lovely!
Hugs,
Janice
It's a good case for putting a watermark on all of your photos - it's a shame but you may want to consider it in the future. He does look like a real baby owl and I bet that it is just a mistake rather than someone trying to steal a photograph of your work of art.
I'm so sorry this happened to you, Melisa.
Hugs,
Janice
I agree with everyone! Sedona has always been my favorite until Oatman came along!

Bobbie, your pendants are gorgeous and you have stuck with needle felting, yet added extra charm! Conni, I agree with Joanne, when you create something from your heart, the love shines through and the finished product is something that will be treasured by the collector. If an artist only creates in order to make a sale, it is shallow and not what art should be about. I say stick with needle felting as that is where your heart is!
Best wishes!
Janice
He's adorable!
Hugs,
Janice
She's very cute!

I agree, Bobbie, Joanne's blog is wonderfully informative!
