I use Publisher and make circles that size of the eye that I am using.
Then I cut out the circle. Then cut the circle in half.
I then carefully put the patch in place and use a gel base crazy glue and place the nozzle underneath the felt and add a drop or two.
It takes about 15 seconds to set up, but then I have eye patches that are perfect.

I ain't that desparate for the good stuff!

I would think that loc line would work fine.
I don't know how heavy a gauge wire you would want to use. But I am sure that if you scaled up the size of the wire, bolts, and other bits. You should be able to "make it work"

I've just gotta say, again, there are some really fine looking "early/first bears" folks! It is cool to see the changes in style.
Well...MY early bears really look the part.  I like to think that I have come a long way.

Here's Hunnypaws:

And here's Baxter:

I remember that fabric used on Hunnypaws. Used tons of it.
I also remeber that Baxter pattern, my mom made him up. My aunt liked that pattern and used it a ton when she was making bears... Well for about 3 years.

Nope, I don't even know if there are any clubs around me. I bet it would be nice to be part of one though.

Sandi -
We would have to start our own club.

Yeah Someone said something to me about playing on the computer the other day...

I just tell everyone to call 1-800-WalMart and complain.

Now this is the way to get my pet fix.

The boys have settled in nicely at their new home.
They told me that Zippy went inot hiding upon arrival and that Teddy found a nice warm lap to curly up in.
Silly Kitties.

What wonderful pictures.
Thanks to everyone for sharing.
And keep on sharing your stories.

Jare Hares & Bears

Well Jodi you have done a great job with your web site.
Thanks for checking out Wally World for me. I figured as much. I guess they are eliminating the program in every store. Too Bad.

Jare Hares & Bears

Yeah that will have to go on the to do list.
Truth be told I have thought about writting one for that last couple of years.
But then I think that it might be re-inventing the wheel. There are already so many bear making books out there.
We'll see.
Thanks for the support ladies.

The other thing that you can do that will help...
Sew your arms together on side A
Then go back and sew on side B
This also helps to keep them from turn.
You will end up with a double stitched arm.
But you only need to go over the paw pads and wrists for this technique.

I think I should have used the words copy and paste. Does that make sense?
At the bottom of the smiley page there is a text box which will show you a link to the image that you wish to use.
Select the image that you want to paste in your post.
Then in said text box the code that you need will be provided.
Be sure to check that the code is highlighted/selected.
Hit ctrl + C on your keyboard.
Then go to TT where you are making your post.
Click in the posting text box where you would like the image to appear.
Hit ctrl + V on your keyboard.
Then the code will appear in your post. The image will show after you submit your post.
I had to explain this to mom, too.
She selected bear_original  But since she saw

 :)

she then deleted

 :)

When I "typed" in the information, I just kept it all on the same line. I don't hit enter.

Jare Hares & Bears

Sorry to hear that they didn't make it.
It's tough... I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Bobbie -
I'd keep them if I were you. You never know when you might want to pull an old pattern out and make it again.

Right now I am tearing my hair out trying to find a pattern that I made 7~8 years ago, and it is no where to be found. Luckily, I can re-draw the pattern, but who wants to do that? k030.gif

If you go to the site below you can access the graphics that I used to do that.

Everything is in German, so you have to guess a little if you don't read German.
It will create the code that you need to post the graphics here.
