She looks so precious and sweet and happy. What a wonderful job you have done.
Hmm such wonderful possibilities. Will see what I can come up with. Anyway, who said a bear has to be brown?
Can you dye mohair that is already coloured? I have a piece of string which is a reddish brown - I assume I can only go darker therefore possibly a darker brown or black. Is it possible?
Thanks for your replies - I can understand why they drift off into other things - I guess I just miss them.
I think he is very sweet
I have often wondered what happened to all of the artists that I "grew up" with through magazines like Bear Creations. So many of them don't appear to be doing bear making any more, their websites are down or no longer exist. I guess I am curious why someone with such a great talent just stops doing what they do best. Or maybe they just get caught up in life ?
Thank you all very much. I have washed in Softly on a very gentle cycle and it didn't unravel and now it smells heavenly!! Only problem I have left, and you may not be able to help, is that the rotten things have also done their business on my porcelain dolls. I have thrown out their clothes and will make more but obviously I cannot wash the dolls. Would anyone have any ideas apart from putting them in the sun?
We are having somewhat of a problem in Wagga Wagga, being a rather nasty mouse plague. We have just come back from a two week holiday and as you can imagine (or not) the house was overrun and totally stinks. Anyway we have cleaned what we could but I have just noticed the little  demons have gotten into my mohair and have (how can I put this delicately) urinated on it and it stinks. How can I clean it? Can I wash and what should I use to get the stench out? It was a very expensive piece so I really don't want to toss it. Any suggestions???
Wow, so much to think about. Thanks for the help.
This also happens to me. I have sewed the nose bit by hand so it is straight. How do you fix the stuffing bit if it is uneven??

Precious and very pretty, wonderful job.
I like him, he's got a great face.
He's just great
How long did he take? He's gorgeous
The cutest little poppet I've ever seen - you are very talented
I am in awe!! I can almost see him breathing!!
Thank you, you're sweet.
Me too please!
I found a really great place that has heaps of music boxes http://www.ceramicraft.com.au/products/ … ments.aspx so I ordered a small selection.
I have decided to do a pattern by Monica Spicer for the baby.
What do you think?
Thanks guys, will try that and hope for the best! Appreciate your help.
Hi Katy, I tried one of those once and it was too hard (for me at least) to do properly. I was just gonna put the little wind up one somewhere. I was hoping you could maybe put it in the foot as I would like to dress the bear but not sure if that will work.
Hi all, my girlfriend has just had a baby girl after years of trying - I am so happy for her. I want to make a bear for her (not for the baby to play with) and I want to have a music box in it. I searched the index but couldn't find anything specific. Does anyone have any recommendations, hints, tips about how/where I should put it. Thanks.
They remind me of Beatrix Potter characters - they have the same cute expressions.
I think he is very lovely - love his big feet
