I love sewing and can get stunning fabric here but no patterns. I didnt bring any because I thought I would be able to get. I found a whole load of free downloadable patterns yesterday. Burda has the best. I was very very happy.

They print out over 24 pages, complete with instructions. Very impressive.

Carolynn

oh shame Lynette  bear_sad  you must be disappointed. Enjoy the shows. And think, you will have the baby to look forward to when you return.

Carolynn

all that space for storing bear stuff bear_rolleyes

Carolynn

That is good to hear. I got your PM earlier, will reply tommorrow, had a crazy day. Thank you though. Nice having so many friends. I owe you a photo Jane, getting to that too. Was away for a week a while ago and missed TT very very much.

Carolynn

Bren that is too good. Daphne I would never have notice unless you pointed it out. Have seen your Pic 100' and just saw "you". Maybe we should learn by our bears, not always perfeclty proportioned, bit saggy in the middle but still happy.

Carolynn

how stylish.... how are you feeling today???

Carolynn

oh wow, any bear artists or just the "big girls" ??? I have 10 tiny bears with me ( one nearly finished) they all sit on my bookcase, cause sadly I dont have a cat.

Carolynn

Was thinking about you this morning. Hope all goes well when it does. My daughter was also late.... was VERY frustrating. My son, on his due date. Last time he was ever on time for anything  bear_grin  We coming back to SA for December and a couple of weeks in January. So looking forward to it.

Carolynn

They are too cute. And yes Jane we all do things like that.....

Carolynn

oh Chloe what a wonderful idea... love it.     was thinking the other day, I had 3 special friends (only one survived all the years) but would love to recreate them, but to the same scale as the rest of my bears are now. I cant travel with big bears. So this is PERFECT. Well done you

Carolynn

Keep saying you are such a talented bunch,,,, here is the proof. Well done everyone.

Carolynn

Oh Ellen your riding makes me sooo jealous. (we left our bike in South Africa) But only 2 months and we can RIDE for a month and a bit     Now planning all sorts of trips. Last one was Cape Town to Pretoria in a day. Some 1600km. I love taking photos off the back of the bike and have some stunning shots of African scenery. OK also have some of my thumb and the back of the man's helmet, but thanks to digital can  just chuck those. How are the plans for your Canadian trip coming on?

Carolynn

Hi Sheryl

Thank you for starting this thread, In trying to think of a solution for you I think I found one for me

Was thinking that you could use a screen to seperate your 2 areas of space and then use those fabric shoe storge thingies on the screen for extra space. I think  when we have found out where we are living I am going to do that. Get a screen and put the hanging thingies on one side with a pretty fabric cover on the other side. When I am not working can just drag the screen around the machine and hey presto, work area sorted. when you want to work have a "wall" of storage. OK obviously cant put everything in it (it would collapse) but in theory should work.

hmmmm

Carolynn

oh Jane she is wonderful. I am not suprised you paid all the extra. Love her nose. Toooooo cute

Carolynn

oh my, not only is it the cutest pup but stunning pics too. Love the Blanket.... and she could never do anything wrong. You have a lovely garden and I can just imagine her playing in the pansies.... Enjoy her

Carolynn

hi Ming, too scared to order anything here cause I have waited months for a parcel from a friend, but anyhow. Where were you in the Philippines??? Would be great to meet up with someone. I am in Davao but get to travel all over.  I am busy on a set of 3 inch bears but soooo want to try a smaller one despite what I said in the last post. Found a bit of purple stuff lurking in what I packed and thing it would be cute. I was looking at old posts in the library and found one that Daphne posted ( http://www.teddy-talk.com/viewtopic.php?id=4372 ) going to try that. Not that I have had a problem, but may be nice to try.... Also, I found a very old post that I cannot find again about stitching the leg and leaving the top open (and the arm too) this works for me for the tinies. It comes out soooo much better than leaving a bit open on the outside of the leg. You can just sew around the washer then. The leg seems to fit into the body so much better. I wish I could find the post so that I could credit the author. It has been a very big improvement.  bear_thumb

Hi

I have been away for a week with no internet.... I really missed reading and chatting to you all. So much has happened. New puppies that are too sweet. Puppies getting bigger. New web sites, new online store.... And obviously the new bears. Gosh you have all been busy. Just finished catching up on reading as much as I can (and getting the washing up to date.)

My man was on a conference so I managed to sew all week with no housework etc, meals prepared for me and the only other distraction the occasional dip in the pool or a beer sitting on a lounger    until the dreaded Carpal Tunnel bit again. Oh well had 3 days of touring and diving for that to recover, today the sorting out and maybe tommorrow can sew again.

Was really amazed at how much I missed the daily happenings. You are really a good bunch.

Carolynn

I loved the challange and cant wait for a new one. Was so good to do something "out of the box". All the bears are wonderful and really show how much talent there is out there. Well done everyone

Carolynn

Hi Aleta, congratulations. That is such wonderful news. Dont worry about catching up too much. I tried when my sister had her little one. My children are 19 and 24 and my neice is nearly 3. So much has changed. But the stuff I learned with my two has still got a place in the "modern" world. But boy some of the gadgets available now sure would have made my life easier.

Bath plugs with thermometers, I used my elbow. Silly things like that. But still get asked for advice on how to get madam to eat "funny" food etc. So there is a place for experience.  bear_thumb

Carolynn

how wonderful. stunning idea. well done

Carolynn

I am hooked, so can understand that. and as for the website, well I got mine going and was very proud. But it has a small problem, when you search it comes up with my copywright thing instead of the description. Keep thinking I am going to look at it, every day. Every day goes by and I havnt. Oh well. The world still turns

Carolynn

oh Natty he is sooooo cute. Went and looked at you website too. Your bears are TINY. Gosh, I thought mine were small, my smallest is 2.5 inches. Well done you. I love them
