Teddy Talk: Creating, Collecting, Connecting

Hi you all!

I have made a new design/edition/style of bears that I will call "Orphans". This is my first one (he has no name at the moment, poor thing) and he is made of the soooooooftest German synthetics! He is 25 cm tall.

I'm sorry for the poor photos, my batteries run out so I couldn't take any new once...

Haha! Poor hubby! When it comes to synthetic, do you know any internet shops? I reeeeally have a problem finding good synthetic fabric!

I have read many discussion here on TT about where to buy the "best" fabric. But I wonder, If you have a very thin wallet, were do you find the CHEAPEST mohair or synthetic fabric?

Anyplace you can make great bargains?

I don't know what words to use when looking at your bears... they are just.... AWSOME!

Wow, if making him was a nightmare, the result is a dream! The mouth looks great and I just love the tiny teeth!

First of all, sorry for the poor photos but Brownie is too brown and outside it's too dark!  I'll take some new photos when it's daytime.

Anyway, Brownie is 22 cm tall, made of short synthetic and cashmere. He has upper eyelids made of leather, green glass eyes, embroided and varnished nose and has some patches on his feet.

I was kind of unhappy with the design cause the head turned out to be too wide and the arms and legs too skinny, but after putting in the eyes and doing the nose and ears I was kinda happy to see Brownie coming to life!

Thanks guys!! And I'm with you, we better live our lifes and do what we love the most (teddies!?) as long as we stay healthy. Some days are up and some days are down. I'm happy to have my friends around, so thank you!

Sometimes life sucks. Eight years ago my mum got breastcancer, and this spring she found out that the cancer is back and has spread with several tumours in her pelvis and back. At the same time my dad got a "bump" on his neck and it also turned out to be cancer!    I have a boyfriend who is 29 years old and allready is an orphan cause both his mum and dad has died out of cancer.

What is happening to the world?    It's just so sad...

What method do you use for attaching eyes??
I have tried several ways and at the moment I use a method that I think I read somewhere here on TT but I can't find it again! It's a method where you take the needle out in the back of the head and then back again in the same hole and out under the eye. You then push and make knots in the front, undernith the eye.

I like this method very much! Anyone read about this method here on TT? I would like to read about it again... so help?!

This is another bear in my "Moobear Edition" and he is actually called just Jack and not the RipBear    He is 25 cm tall, all synthetic and is a reeeeally nice guy! (but a bit too long-haired....)

Silly me, but there will be a little photo and paragraph of one of my bears in that issue, and I just need to see it!!
