Please meet Billy another vintage style bear, A dear friend gave me some blue vintage velvet and this is what I came out with! He has lose joints, filled with excelsior and steel shot for a nice weight. I also knitted his outfit, he wears a vintage red gross pin.

I know I haven't been posting for awhile, I've been back and forth to the hospital with hubby. there are so many new bear artists, all the pics here are wonderful, great work.
But I still have been finding the time to make bears. It keeps me sane! Here's a pic of one of my new designs. She is 9 inches tall and made from a sparse mohair. she is listed on ebay, hope you like her

Kristina,
I read your post earlier today and felt so bad for the poor dog. You are an angel for doing that. When I left my house today with my boyfriend , we were driving around before we went to pick up our daughter from school, and I couldn't believe what I saw, I thought of you and the dog you found, we saw this poor brown dog limping in a front yard and all you saw were ribs. this poor baby looked like every step he took was more painful than the other. Because he was in someone's yard I think I couldn't just take him and bring him to the animal hospital, I didn't know what to do but I knew I had to do something, I wouldn't get any sleep if I hadn't, so we wrote down the address and went straight to the police station to speak to animal control to let them know about this poor little guy. they sent someone down right away. I can't believe that someone can let this happen!! It does brake your heart. We called the animal control to find out about the dog and he was under weight and they where going to do more tests. I'll be in contact with them again tomorrow. I felt so bad for the dog you found, that the same thing happened to me.

Another pic of my lifeguard
It's been a while since I posted a clown, this is my clown I scetched out and finally put on fur. He's a lifeguard, a rented lifeguard on duty!
I've made his flippers and gargles from polymer clay. Let me know what you think! He is a bit different.
Cyndee those bunny's are sooo cute! And so is Herbie, my little Sadie would love him!

Thank you girls for responding.
Ellen you were so nice to send me a copy in the first place, that copy meant even more because you gave it to me. It broke my heart, how could someone take something thats not there's.
Debbie thank you for the kind words. My husband is home now. As Ellen knows my husband on top of everything was hit by a car while we were standing out side of our car in front of our house. He's okay but in alot of pain.
Again thank you all,
Louise
I hope someone can help me, I was featured in the TBCI last year in the July issue ( issue #173). It was given to me by a sweet TT member, Ellen from Elli Folks. I wasn't able to get a copy so she was nice enough to send me one, she had an extra copy. Some of you know about my husbands illness with his liver. Were always in the hospital, At the hospital a nurse that was taking care of my husband was talking to us about hobbies and crafts. My husband came out first and told her that I made bears. And she was excited because she collected bears and elephants. So my husband as proud as he is of me told her I was in the TBCI magazine. She had asked if I could bring it by so she can take a look, I said yes. The next day I went to the hospital to visit my husband and brought the magazine, she wasnt there that day, my husband suggested I leave the magazine with him, he would put it in the night table beside him, I wasn't sure if I should leave it but then I did. That night my husband called me at home from the hospital to tell me she loved my bears and was interested in an elephant I said okay. The next day I went back to hospital and I asked my husband for my magazine, and I could see it in his face, SOMEONE TOOK MY MAGAZINE! I started to cry because first of all it meant so much to me and second Ellen sent that to me, and I think that was what hurt the most. I asked everyone on the floor were that nurse was, and do you know that since then ( 4 months ago) I haven't seen her there. And no one has called me to tell me anything.
So, I wanted to know if anyone has an extra copy I could purchase from them, I tryed TBCI website and I can't seem to get that issue. If someone can send me an email please.
I'm sorry Ellen, That copy meant alot to me!
I've learned a big lesson!
Bear Hugs,
Louise
