Tami,
Great post!  Great idea!  Count me in!!!  And the ornament you made is just darling.  I'd love to have that guy hanging on my tree!!!  One question - does the teddy bear need to be made of fur?

P1010001-Large-Web-view.jpgP10100037-Large-Web-view.jpgI am proud to present a bear I just received from fellow Teddy-Talker Jane Perala.  I ordered this bear earlier in the year and requested a Christmas robe trimmed with cream mohair.  Jane filled my request perfectly.  The bear itself is wonderful, and the cape is expertly stitched and lined in a red satin.  Enjoy!

ConnieB

Wow!  I really love your sparkly eyes, Paula............

ConnieB

What a beautiful face on this bear!  Great work!!!

ConnieB

Thanks everyone.  Vicki, this bear is my own design and I haven't started selling yet but if I keep making bears I'm going to have to or else my husband will so he has room to move!

ConnieB

Putting me in the Christmas spirit - before Halloween even!!!!

ConnieB

Very unique with amazing eyes!

ConnieB

Thank you, everyone, for the kind comments on Boris.  He is sitting on my mantle now - my only Halloween decoration out so far...........

P1010061-Large-Web-view.jpgP1010053-Large-Web-view.jpgI love Halloween and the colors orange and black......... (Go Bengals!).........so I had to make a Halloween bear this Fall.  He is made with hand-dyed curly distressed mohair and is sporting a wonderful witch hat made by my good bear friend, Tami Eveslage.  She and I did a hat swap, and I hope she likes mine as much as I like hers!!!!  I named this guy Boris cuz I couldn't think of anything else????

ConnieB

This bear is all boy.  Love the fur you used!  Great job!!!

ConnieB

I'm not a cat person, but I'll take this one, for sure!

ConnieB

Just really wonderful.  Love them both!!!  You do really original work, Yvonne!

ConnieB

Perfect name for this perfect fellow!

ConnieB

Thank you, everyone, for the very kind comments!  I've been working on this guy for so long that, to be honest, I'm a little sick of him!  I think I've mentally moved on to my next design, but thanks again for the early morning ego boost!

d-Large-Web-view.jpgc-Large-Web-view.jpgb-Large-Web-view.jpgJust finished my second original design and first center-seam bear.  After spending hours making a witch's hat and collar for this guy which I ended up not liking, I just stuck a dumb old bow on him.  He is filled with polyfil, glass pellets in his big feet, and steel shot in his tummy and arms.  Thank-you Miss Tami, for air-brushing 101.  Oh, and my other little bear wanted his photo taken also................

ConnieB

Perfect!!!!!!  Your talent and creativity blows me away!!!!!

ConnieB

Tami,
He rocks!!!!!  You rock!!!!

ConnieB

Wondering if anyone has noticed their waxed noses changing color or lightening after a while?  I use beeswax on my bears and a couple of them have "aged" over time.  It doesn't bother me, but maybe they need to be sealed after waxing?

ConnieB

Yvonne,
Your bears are so unique and special.  I really love them!

ConnieB

She is lovely, as are all of your creations, Aleta.

Yes, the bear in the suspenders - first bear on bottom row - another Jane Perala teddy bear.  She does marvelous work.  Her bears are really technically perfect!  (That was a Christmas present from my husband and remains one of my favorites!)  The tall bear in the middle of the bottom row is by Sheryl Wells of Simple Blessings.  The tiny girl bear holding a bear is by Christy Firmage.  And the last bear on the bottom row is by Marjoleine Deimel from Holland.  Oh, and the second bear on the top row is by Hiromi Nagataki from Japan.  Her bears are really sweet and amazing in person.........  And the small bear top right with the pink ribbon is an early bear by my friend and bear artist Tami Eveslage.

You know your bears, Wanda!  Ridibear from Germany!
