Hi Birgitte! The show is in Malmö in october 22. I have never been on a teddybear show so it's gonna be a lot of fun i hope. I hope to meet many new bearmaking friends from Scandinavia!
Are the shows in Denmark big once? Do you have any links to them?
Take care!
Oh love this one!!
Ooooh I just want to lift him up and give him a hug!!
Is there any Scandinavien people out there who will attend to the Teddybear Show in Malmo, Sweden in October? Anywhooo, I have booked a table and it's gonna be my first show ever! Waaaaay!!
I'm so sorry for you!!! And if it can help, I can understand exactly how you feel!! I also had a bad spring and in the same month my mum got breast cancer that has spread to the skeleton, my dad cancer in the throat and my grandma heartproblems.
Sometimes life sucks!!!! But we'll have to be strong!!!
Birgitte, actually Solomon is made of a synthetic fur that I found in a shop in town. I just fell in love with it and HAD do make a new design to it!
Hi you all! Anybody knows if there's any awards coming up soon? 'cause I have absolutely nooooo clue!
Edie, I think you are just right... his name has to be Solomon! Thanks!
I made up a new design a couple of days ago, I hope you like him! He has no name yet, poor thing, but I will baptise him as soon as I can come up with one!
Wow, I love both you bears, but the dog really stole my heart!
Tiny mini SWEEEEEET panda!!
Wow, that's such a cool kangaroo! I love her arms and the whole body style!
Gosh, he is a wonderful character and so full of life! I love his fur cause it look really unique. And I think that the double jointed neck is great on him cause the poses he does are great!
This is Lova, who's having a really rainy day in Sweden. Or maybe she is afraid that it will start raining men?
She is all syntethic, with cashmere inner ears and pawpads, fully jointed, embroided and varnished nose.
Aaaaaaaah my heart is melting! You must have been working 24/7 to do those!
I like your bear very much!!
I love him toooooo!!! He is GR8 for being your first anime!! :cake:
Thank you all! I just loved doing this miniature, though it was tricky to do the jointing... it was sooo small! But I guess it's something you have to learn
This is my first miniature bear, it was a lot of fun making it and I will sure make mooooore!
Oh, sweethearts! Have you made them for any special moment?
Thanks Sabine! Have you ever tried Ebay for selling bears? I'm such a shopoholic so I always SPEND money on Ebay and never EARN!
This is Joe, he's a cool - but I can assure you a very kind- teddybear. He is made of white synthetic fur and has flexible arms.
Many thanks, that was good advices! By the way, I'm trying to find out the fees for selling on Ebay and also using paypal... how many % do they take?
Oh... thanks for giving me the tip on my profile, I will check it out right away!!
I'm thinking of trying out Ebay and put out one of my bears... but is it worth it? I read earlier topics about Ebay and that it is kind of expensive with a lot of fees?
Is there something I should think of when I put out my bear? And what price do you start with? I know it's hard to say a price but I would be glad to hear what you guys start out with, it would be very helpful! My bears are about 30 cm, fully jointed, has flexible arms and made of synthetic fabric...
Help needed!
Bronwen and sarahjane, I fell just like you! It's soooooo hard to be able to think "my bears are ok"! I guess we just have to try to believe in ourself and be proud over what we do. YOU are both great artists!! :cake:
