Hello everyone !
Rudy is my first baby lion....Thanks for stopping by for a peek at him. It was my first use of fox fur..it wants to go everywhere and clings to the thread like crazy. It was worth it I guess, I like the effect of the golden tips on his "mane".
This was my first listing on ebay since the selling format changed. I usually tell a little story with my creations and align photos beside the story line, as it progresses. I could not find any option that allowed my preference of how to situate the pictures ! They are simply all at the top in a row that you scroll over, and the story in the paragraphs below doesn't make sense now!
Have any of you noticed this change or discovered how to put pictures where you want them?
Kindest Regards,
Lee Ann
Wow   very interesting.
Isnt it amazing how much went into just that maneuver? It took all of about 7 seconds in a 5 minute video but so much attention to perfection ! He was an incredible entertainer.

On tv here today we had a 3 hour special in memory of Michael. It started with his ABC 123 song with the Jackson 5, and was a collection of his most memorable videos and short movies. It ended with a showing of the long version of "Thriller". I was glued to my tv for 3 hours, could not move. He's about the same age as me so it brought back memories of my entire life.....and some of the dance moves, my goodness. How did he ever do "the lean".
RIP

Hi
I only list one bear a month and I've been worried about this new rating system. I have always sent alot of emails, keeping the buyer updated, but recently I decided to go with free shipping also.
I'm sorry you're having to go through this difficulty Karen. It sounds like there are some other great sites to check out for your sales until you can list again on eBay.

Hi everyone !
I am making a little critter right now that might look cute with some unruly whiskers. Do any of you have any tips on the best type of material to use? I have used button/craft thread previously but it does not retain any "crinkle" or "bent" effect. ( does this make sense ? )
I don't want the whiskers to stick straight out, nor do I want them to droop downward....
Any ideas? THANK you THANK you....any help will be greatly appreciated
Regards,
Lee Ann

really really nice job...He's wonderful

Hi Thomas ! The center seam gusset makes alot of sense to me to enhance the design of your bear and conserve on mohair. However, my first experience with a two piece head, center seam, no gusset turned in to a disaster. I designed the little guy and in order to get the rounded forehead and puffy cheeks that I like, ( an no flat head ) I stuffed rather firmly. It turned out okay but I found eye placement to be difficult.
About a week later, I was looking at this little guy and noticed something weird right above the nose. I work with recycled mink and the tension of that firm stuffing had simply begun to pull that center seam apart.
Poor little guy!
So my beginner's opinion is that this center seam, two piece head technique is a bit harder

Hi Becky~
Not sure how you are jointing your bears, but if you are using cotter pins, have you ever tried finishing your arm and leg pieces including stuffing and stitching closed? ( Cotter pin is inside the leg, sticking out to the outside )
Leave the body open and put light to medium stuffing in there( just to see how it is going to fill out ) and then place and mark the spot for your legs where you like them. You have to remove the body stuffing to finish the cotter joint, but this extra step might be worth it
Hope this is helpful..

Thanks so much Donna and Sue Ann! I really appreciate these tips.

Hi everyone~ I have been studying the tips and techniques related to embroidered noses and have come up with a question. I like the idea of attaching a felt template to stitch over. I work primarily with recycled mink, and the nose area simply cannot take alot of extra stitching back and forth.
Question-when you attach your "template", light glue I suppose, how do you stitch under it. In other words, if you are simply making your nose stitches between the actual muzzle and this felt piece, how can you do it when there is glue in there?
Hope this makes sense
I have been using sculpted noses but would like to get back to embroidery if I can figure this out
Thanks so much !
