bear_thumb  bear_thumb  bear_thumb   I'm glad you got that sorted out Tammy!!!  bear_original

sarahjane

Taamy if you are using the new sell your item page you have to click on the 'show/hide options' button at the top on the right hand side....in there somewhere you should be able to find a check box to tick that enables you to show this option.... You have to sign in and start your listing before this shows up....I hope this helps.

sarahjane

I like the last little guy too Jennie......they are all gorgeous though!!!

sarahjane

Provided the bear was well made etc...ie no shoddy workmanship I would sell it and probably be thrilled if it made a lot of money (there is no accounting for other peoples taste)

but I think as an artist I would get far more satisfaction out of something that I felt met all my personal criteria for being a 'perfect expression of my artistry' whether I could sell it of not....

sarahjane

Jenny you can list on two sites, I do it all the time and so do many Australian sellers, it's the only way to get our listings to show up on bot AU ebay and ebay.com...unfortunately it's double fees and that makes it unaffordable to do featured listings because you can't choose featured on one site without choosing it on the other.... :o

I do it by listing on ebay.com then choosing a second catagory so it shows up on ebay.com.au..but it may be different for you uk girls???

sarahjane

bear_sad  bear_sad  bear_sad  Jenny that is such a shame.....I suppose now you are up for two listing fees or you have to choose which site works better for you..... bear_ermm   Typical of ebay and here I was hoping they would make it so the AU stuff would show up on the US site eventually so I could save myself a double listing fee.... bear_sad

sarahjane

I always schedule too...this time  I didn't...will that teach me a lesson..very probably.

Me too Jenny!!!

That is priceless Judi!!!!!

agree the first hours on Sunday night is very important, I get the most bids at that time and when it shows up the next morning with bids I think people on monday notice it more.  I think if you pay for a certain amount of time (and the clock starts the minutes you list) then you should get that much time, if not they should refund some of your money, if they had to they would do a better job getting the auctions loaded.  I am really excited about Bid 4 Bears I hope it takes off like a rocket ship!

Jodi I agree with you whole heartedly on this one...and it is especially important for people like me who are not well known as yet, if you miss those first few hours then the whole auction is compromised!!!..But when you try to explain all this to 'live help' they just give you some garbage about ebay making you available to a worldwide audience etc etc etc....I bought up the point about paying for a certain amount of time.... and they very kindly pointed out that the fees are the same whether you do 1,3,5 or 7 days... bear_ermm   I think they missed my point completely!!!!!  bear_angry  bear_angry  bear_angry

I found talking to live help a waste of time and they told me that you can expect to wait up to 24 hours for the indexing system to work properly!!!  bear_shocked  bear_shocked  bear_shocked

I asked 'where that leaves people who run 1 day auctions?? but they ignnored me....... bear_wacko

Anyhoo...my listing has been scheduled to start tomorrow now..lets see if that helps, I just have nooo patience for this sort of thing at all!!!!!!!

sarahjane

Wow that is amazing I love it I hope your show is an overwhelming success!!!

sarahjane

Denise after 6 hours I got on to live chat and had them end my listing and refund my fees...I'm going to schedule mine from now on, I have never had this problem when I schedule a listing but it seems that any time I put a listing on without scheduling it seems to happen. I'll put mine on tomorrow now.... bear_noexpression

For me I find that because I'm not very well known (yet) if I miss that first 6 hours my bears never get as many watchers or looks so it makes a real difference to the result of my auction!!! Last week my auction picked up most of its watchers within the first 6 hours and only a few more for the whole week!!!

sarahjane

Denise have a cuppa quick!!!  I'd hate to see you burst a valve... bear_grin  Still it does make you cranky!!!  bear_angry  bear_angry

sarahjane

As soon as my auction hits the 6 hour 'magic' mark I'm getting on to live help !!!! bear_angry  bear_angry  bear_angry

sarahjane

Its been 4 hours for me now Shantell and it's still not showing...I'm not finding it when I search for it either or even when I click on 'show sellers other items"  bear_angry

sarahjane

Denise you are so right...I hope Bid 4 Bears takes off then we can be rid of ebay......I seem to have more trouble with my auctions on a Sunday (US time) though maybe because it's busy.  I can't even find mine in the searches at the moment... bear_sad

sarahjane

Jenny I have a lot of trouble with this too, now I find that if I get my listing done early then schedule it then it appears immediately....no luck today though I am also waiting for mine to show as I didn't schedule it...  :/

Denise I agree...why don't everyones auctions take that long to show!!!   bear_cry

sarahjane

I mostly use wobble joints and try all ways before I decide....I find the 'wobble' seems to sit more comfortably one way that the other!!!  bear_ermm
