The Rabbit Maker

I purchased some made to order gates from someone off ebay. When they were finished he told me that they were on ebay for me and I went through the same methods. It was a buy it now.

I think if sellers choose to do it this way they do get benefits from ebay that you may not get outside of ebay.

Maybe they feel a bit more protected?

You should email the seller an ask her.

WELL DONE TO YOU BOTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very interesting. The most I really know about MSG is that they use it in Chinese take aways, which I don't eat very often because they are so salty probably because of the MSG. I didn't know it went under different names though I'll have to check the english equivalent.

The Rabbit Maker

I read somewhere that someone had used sand, and the advanatge of that was that it always kept the pins sharp !

The Rabbit Maker

Yes, I agree definitely looks like a tension problem . Have  you tried sewing some plain fabric and seeing if you get the same results ? When your bobbin sits in its case you should be able to hold it by the thread and it shouldn't drop down .

The Rabbit Maker

Great movement and expression and beautifully finished!!

The Rabbit Maker

Hi
I think he's looking great but if Iwas too make an alteration I would just reduce the length of his body a little bit because the front end and back  are fine I think they just need to be closer together.

You can only try it and see what happens.
Hope this helps.
Shelly.

We all need to let off steam and it's great to be able to do it with like minded people so 'wah'  bear_cry  away !!!

The Rabbit Maker

Hi Brenda

On the post above, about hiding a biddders ID , is that a good or bad thing ?  I'm not sure if I'm missing something !
Thanks
Shelly.

Don't give up!!!

I know it's easy to say and I know it does depend on whether you rely on it for an income.

Since I started in Oct 2006 I seem to keep hitting negatives.

I did a show and everyone there said it had been the quietest show in years. Shops tell me that sales are quiet,  ebay is playing up, the markets flooded blah blah blah !!

I could take it to heart but I just keep plodding on because I like my bunnies and I have some customers who do too. I enjoy it and as long as I can keep buying mohair I will keep making and you should too, even if you end up with a house full.

Don't give up!!

The Rabbit Maker

Thanks Jane  for all the photos it's great to see everything!!!!

Hi Brenda

Thanks for doing all this research you've certainly made it easier for people.

I personally take responsibility for the whole 'ebay' problem .......................I've only just started selling my rabbits on ebay  and had 1 success, I've obviously 'jinxed' the whole system   bear_grin  bear_rolleyes

On a more serious note to pick up on what Jenny just said , I think the chance of people targeting  other sellers with negative feedback could happen, especially with more mainstream items.

I hadn't realised the shipping thing would be so bad for UK sellers , it took me long enough to work the shipping out anyway and now it looks like it will be more difficult for us .

If 'ebay' is giving up on the smaller seller, then sellers will move elsewhere. We'll just have to wait and see where that's going to be !!.

The Rabbit Maker

Well I didn't know anything about this until someone mentioned it in the gallery.
The boycott must be working because I was looking through all the bears last night on ebay and commented to my husband about how there were so few names I recognised. I thought it may have something to do with the bear show happeningin the the Uk.

I am now going to check out all the links thanks for the info

The Rabbit Maker

Ahhh thanks everyone you're too kind  bear_wub
