omg.. lol. I've had loads of calls from the picture lady, as you guys call her.. lol. That is so funny! Everytime I've had an ad in a magazine or a bear appear I would get at least 2 calls from her. I can't remember if she has
ever bought anything. I will have to check my other computer.

I think at one time I could have made a living on my bears, I had a 6 month waiting list and had to start saying no to people. I have a full time job as a service writer/office manager.. I don't get as many bears done as I use to.. I think I managed a bit of burnout between the long hours at work and working on the bears till the wee hours of the night.. I still don't ever see me making bears full time.. I would go a bit crazy being in the house that much.... I like being able to go out daily and talk to people... Although it would be nice to have one or 2 days a week that I could devote to bears.

Oh no! well, if it makes you feel any better I did the same thing with one of my huge sculpting needles. Blah that was gross.

I've had this happen quite a few times.. and in most cases one of my collectors snaps them up.. OR even better I've gotten new collectors because of it.
One piece I saw sold for less that what it cost me in mohair to make it.. but the lady who bought it sent me a wonderful email about how happy she was to finally be able to get one of my bears.
I just say it gets easier and you never know what will happen to one of your critters after you send it away. I always hope somone will love it forever.. but sometimes people need money.. or space.. or just want new stuff.

Wow, some people need to mind their own business.. I've been making cats since the 90's.. but have listed one on ebay recently because I happend to have one done. Am I going to stop making cats because someone else makes them... no.. am I going to stop trying out new critters because someone else happend to make one before me.. of course not.
I don't really understand that email Krista.... why would someone really care what an artist makes?

I dated a guy who made chain maile... he said it was kind of like knitting.. lol. Took him weeks just to make one small article.. lots of work but it was very cool.
