Merry Christmas to you too Sandi, see ya in the New Year..
Wow, such beautiful Chrissy snaps.
I will take a piccie of mine tomorrow and post them, you will get a shock when you see the size of my Christmas tree.
I have Nancys book too, and another that is so informative is Ted Mentons, A Bear Studio.
This one is my bible..
My piccies are 72dpi and I usually crop to 300-and it automatically adjust the other measurement., I don't use photo shop but will check the program I have to see if it has the Level thingo....
Your info is very informative...thanks for that..
I googled Melissa bears but the website would not come up.
However I found a piece on her bears that just recently made an appearance in ABC..mag.
I use my laptop for my piccies and they always look clear, but when I check listings from our main computer my piccies are a lot darker. I think it depends on the monitor...
Not sure why this person does not want to post overseas after all the buyer pays the postage.
I will sell my bears to whoever and wherever they live..
How cute are they...just like there creater I guess....
There's no rest for the wicked...who else is wicked..
Posted mine to my recipiants yesterday, now its onto the Christmas ornamont...then the bears for the TBACA Valentines Day show..then its the TT swap bear... oh and inbetween there are bears to create for my website...and try to get organised for Christmas... and then there is the Black and White Ball on TBACA then the Easter challenge....definately not enough hours in the day or days in the week...my head hurts
I am delving into the mini world at the moment, inspired by Honeythorpe Bears.
Have a look at Melissas bears and you will be inspired too...they are the cutest..
Not a nice thing for your daughter to go through...hope it gets sorted for everyones sake...
Great news Kathy, I bet you are so relieved.....onto the sewing now..
I posted my cards today and will start working on my ornamont next week while relaxing on the coast...going caravanning for 7-9 days..
Received my first Chrissy card from Gail of Plum Cottage Bears...Thank-you Gail.
Hi Wendy,
Just a little querie,
Have you noticed on the webring that the profile piccies are not lined up with the artists. My info had Real Deal bears as the piccie..
Or is just my pooter that is doing this?
I have the same delimma.
E-bay I listed aussie dollors but on bid4bears I have gone for us dollors????
What a cutie...
I sense the revolution has begun, upward and forward fellow revolutionaries.
Thank-you Andrea and Claudia.....my bears seem to be getting smaller.
I have a smaller one cut and ready to sew....once the garden is upto scratch..
I have a bear currently on e-bay, but come Wed. at auctions end my link will be gone.
Roll on Jan.
I am willing to give another bear selling site ago.
Like many, the last 4 bears on e-bay have not sold but I still have to pay the listing fees.
January I am definately going to give one of the other sites a go.
Perhaps noting it on my website that, that is where my bears will be up for sale as from Jan 2009.
Also emailing all previous buyers.
We must cut the umbilical cord from e-bay if we want to sell I think..
Thank-you Melisa and Kay.
It is 7.00am here in Australia and Penny has just had her breakfast and gone back to bed with her Daddy. Such a spoilt little pooch..
Hats off to you Peta, great job..
This little lass was created for one of my very good customers in Cardiff, Wales.
Prissy has been created using a combination of synthetic and kid mohair.
Measuring just 6" she is a cute little gal and I was so happy with the way she evolved.
I had tweaked one of my designs, by shortening the body, so her arms and legs are quite snug.
