this is great well done Louise, a really impressive piece xx
such a sweet bear, always amazes me how you look at some and just fall in love xx
Here is Nelson, a bright little chappie 5 1/2 inches of golden mohair with bright old yellow rayon for his muzzle & paws. Nelson has a cute little grin embroidered nose & eyebrows. He has glass black eyes with white felt to enhance them. I have sculptured his feet and given him a double bow of yellow & gold. Nelson is 5 way cotter jointed and filled with polyfil and glass beads, & inserted into his tummy he has his very own heart. i have also given Nelson a traditional hump on his back mixing old with new design. good to know your thoughts xx

hi guys.
for me here in portugal is the same so relying on the internet is my main selling place. i do have a question though, when we keep making more bears because thats what we love to do, do you take old bears off your sites and change them round with new ones, then at a later date put them back on your sites again? i was wondering because it can look stale if the same bears are on your adopt pages, if not what do you guys do and how do you store your creations?

Hi Guys wow what great little bears, i'm still waiting to hear from my swap partner so i can send mine off to her.
i have to ask Nichole do you make your bears first then felt over the top of your mohair?, asking as you say its filled with steel shot so i was wondering how you did it.
i went to your site along time ago and i think your work in amazing i loved the elephant.
well done guys again great bears i'm cant wait to get mine.

Hi guys
what an excellent post i have been reading all the different posts on airbrushing and feel now that i am rady to purchase an inexpensive kit and compressor which i have found on ebay which is a spraymaster with baby compressor for only £55 and will deliver to portugal horay!! my husband used to airbrush bikes and is going to give me some lessons.
i am hoping to find quality paints here as you have suggested judi, if not once again the internet comes to the rescue. (cant get anything here, i really rely on your generous information on this site BIG THANKYOU) is there any colours you can suggest that i will use alot more than other colours asking so i dont have to keep ordering and paying delivery to here.
be thankyou once again for starting me on another exciting task in bear making.

Hi Louisa
i use the hemostat on my teeny tiny bears and leave a good size opening, when i put the hemostats in i poke the fabirc into the opening of the hemostats so i have a good amount to pull, and maybe on the turning to move the stats again. when i first started i used to catch the fabric and mark the fabric....hope that makes sense

Hi Thomas
the idea i thought would be to bring different artists together in hard times try something different. everyone here is so good with interacting and sharing ideas i thought it may be good to a webshow of maybe 6 people different styles of bears. for collectors i thought it would be great to see a varied styles of bears linked together.
the idea was to maybe have 5 of your bears for sale then link the other artists that are involved in the webshow maybe over a weekend. teddybearsand critters do this all the time but only for Aus & NZ so would be good to involve
UK
USA
Germany
Portugal
NZ
Australia
Canada
i hope that helps Thomas it always good to have collectors views and even ideas, there are so many artists out there all with amazing talents and some of us that are still getting known. hope to have some more feed back guys if its really no interest then i'll leave the idea to rest.
big bearhugs

welcome Lyn thanks for info and i to am interested in you wing chat. would be nice to see some your dolls to post some pics or do you have a site? bearhugs susan
hi guys thanks for your input and your pm Ellen. i have never done anything like this before and the feedback is great, lots i hadnt thought about maybe it would be an idea to call it something else and plan it for the new year sometime any ideas on when guys?
the aim i thought we be to try and promote collectors bears, paulas show did really well i just thought it may get some interest if a few artists got together preferrably different looking bears so not to tread on toes but to give a varied display of what bears are being created.
onceagain thanks for your ideas bearhugs susan
hi guys
i see lots of you have viewed but no comments, if people have no interest it would be good to know why. i thought it would be good to get together and do a web page on each of the countries websites with a link to the otherstaking part in the websale.
be good to know all your thoughts good and bad
hugs susan
hi guys

Australia
Canada
