At the moment I'm lemon meringue....that's probably because I have just now fed my chocolate craving.
I agree with Cheryl, CAN we do chocolate on lemon meringue?
Now I'm hungry again
AndreaM
PS I think the lemon meringue description is fairy accurate which is funny since I'm a dance teacher......yes I can trip over a painted line
but at least I will look graceful while falling
Cheryl: He's married....sigh, and he's a drummer in a jazz band!
Jodi: thanks for the encouragement.....I'm sure I'll figure it all out one day
AndreaM
Penny, I wish I could take credit for the photograph, but I can't.........well I could, but then the guilt would kick in and I'd start eating to suppress the feelings then I'd end up looking like an over-stuffed teddy!
I have a good friend who is a fantastic photographer named Ron Hill, he's also my hair stylist! I just dropped off some bears one day and he came back with a bunch of wonderful photographs......it was quite funny though he was afraid to pose the bears, he said he didn't want to damage them! I told him they didn't bite.......maybe they did?
AndreaM
Thanks everyone for having a look and sharing in my excitement.
And thanks for your lovely compliments about North Paw.
Toby: I think it will be at least another 3 weeks before I figure out how to put my personal photo in here too!
My dad thinks he may know what I have to do to get more pictures posted here so perhaps you'll see some more soon. Like I said before I'm not exactly 'computer literate' but I'm learning.....slowly
Hugs for everyone!
Thanks again Penny
AndreaM
Look everyone.....................I'm a bear!!!!!!!
I'm not just a name and a flag anymore
THANK YOU PENNY
(She's brilliant!)
The bear in my avatar is 'North Paw' I've been wanting to introduce him since I got here, and thanks to Penny I can now!
I feel like a kid at Christmas.
I hope you enjoy him.
AndreaM
Me Too!
I love this idea! Thanks for organizing this Shelli!
I'm e-mailing you right now!
AndreaM
Hey everyone,
I have been thinking about going. I live about an hour and a half North of Toronto and I just love the TBOV shows! If the weather is good and my courage is up I'll likely come down......I just hate driving. I'll try and talk my daddy-kins into coming with me, he kinda looks like a teddybear
If I do come I will certanly look for both Kathleen and Shane....I just love candy
!
Shane: it's good you finally surfaced! Do you know some one by the name of Erica Finlayson in Guelph????
Cheers!
AndreaM
AAAAHHHHHHHH, Nutella icecream, you're making me hungry!
Dilu, you did a fantastic job on her legs and feet. I am a classical Ballet teacher and that's the first thing I look for. She's right over on her pointes and her legs look just like they would if she were a human on pointe! WELL DONE!!!!!!!!!! This is a fantastic pair!
AndreaM
This sound like fun!!!!! It's short, sweet, to the point and won't cost a fortune in postage!
I'm excited already....I just LOVE
surprises!!!!
Well done Tami
AndreaM

As both an artist and a collector, I have been to shows in many different venues from hotels in major cities to small 19th century homes/bed and breakfasts n small communities, from our local Legion to the artists home. My favorite by far are the shows done in homes. The bed and breakfast was a fun show to do, it was a 30 minute drive from my home. They closed down the bed and breakfast part for the weekend and rather than renting a table, they rented a full room to each artist plus filled the kithchen, and hallways with artists, it was inexpensive and well advertised, plus for a small extra fee you could sleep there for the weekend . This show ran for 7 years and was very sucessful.
I've also gone to shows in artists home where the entire first floor was filled with bears. It was by invitation only but new guests were welcome. The kitchen was open and had lots of seating coffee tea juice and goodies whch were kindly asked to stay in the kitchen. The kitchen was also filled with the artists' promotional material so the guests would have somethig to read and get to know the artists better. There was also at this show survailance or the suggestion of it anyways to provide the bears with a bit of protection. I always loved this show because I found the collectors felt more comfortable and we had more time to talk. It wasn't 'obvious' we were trying to sell like standing behind your table at a show it was more like visiting some old friends in their home for the day. You could see the bears in a home setting and imagine them in yours more easily, sitting on the back of a couch or in a bookcase. The only trouble with this show was the travel, in the winter it was not a nice drive I had to take a two lane highway to get there passing open feilds and through blowing snow. BLEH!
Anyways these are just some of my thoughts I thought you might find useful????
AndreaM
Shantall: I'm thrilled about your news
, even though it's not all great, it must be such a relief!!!!!!!! I feel relieved and he's not even my cat
. I have two questions.......how did you ever coax him into the carrier to get him to the vet? And how on earth did you luck into getting a flame point siamese????????????
The last cat we adopted.....I'm sorry I mean, the last cat who adopted us, was a Russian Blue, stunning. We think that she was left behind by some 'city folk' who were cottaging up this way....sad isn't it?
. Of course after we, I mean, she decided to keep us we discovered she was pregnant! She had a litter of 5 and we kept her and two kittens, one was a russion blue kitten and the other pure black!?
The other cat we adopted is a calico who was abandoned by our neighbours when they moved, rediculous I know....we even called them to tell them we had her and she was safe, they said they were coming right away to pick her up...........that was three years ago, they never showed! Can you believe it????????? Some people have no hearts at all. What's worse is none the caloco and the russians don't get along at all, so we always have to keep them seperated. Sigh, at least they all have a good home though.
Michelle, and anyone else who is interested inthe Cornell Book of Cats: the ISBN # is 0-679-44953-1. It is published by "Villard Books" which is also part of "Random House" If you have difficulty finding it on Amazon, the Random House web site is www.randonhouse.com
I hope you find it as useful as I have.
Lots of kitty hugs and kisses
AndreaM
I'm sure your aunt will LOVE it.........she took my breath away!
She's absolutely beautiful!!!!!!!!!!
AndreaM
Did anyone else read this and hear a real pirate voice?................was it just me again
AndreaM
Wow,
I've never heard of this happening..............You just can't trust anyone anymore can you?
AndreaM
Shantell,
I'm really sorry to hear about your kitty
It's frightening when you don't know what is wrong with them. I agree with Michelle that calling the ASPCA for advice on loding him into the crate would be a good idea.
Being a cat person, I have 4 myself, all pains in the butts and all strays, I went out and purchaces a book called "The Cornell Book of Cats" It's been writted by the faculty of the Cornell Feline Health Center at Cronell University. It covers every inch of the cats body fron nose to tail and life span from kittenhood to old age, including emercency care and a great cross reference of illnesses and treatments.
The book is a bit expencive ( around $35-$45 ) but I've referred to it many timesand found it worth every penny.!. I'm sure you could also find it in you library.
Anyone who has cats should have this book! Sometimes it gets a little 'medical' in description but I've found it most helpful.
I do hope you kitty is alright, please keep us posted!
I will  for him and you.
AndreaM
This is exactly how I feel in the cold Canadian winters.
I've found some place warm and comfy and I not moving!!!!!!!!!!
Great picture Tami, I always look forward to seeing your 'pics of the day'
AndreaM
Marion,
I wouldn't remember thier names......I don't remember what I did 5 minutes ago
But if they were there than I met them for sure!
AndreaM
CONGRATULATIONS EDIE!!!!!!!!!
How exciting!
I can see why they won......they're adorable! They make me feel like snuggling with my mommy!
AndreaM
Tammi this is a great picture!
This looks just like my cat Sweet Pea! Of course if this was Sweet Pea I think the title of this picture might be "lunch"
AndreaM
Wow! You did a fantastic job on your site. You should be quite proud of yourself. I'm really not that technilogical..........I can e-mail
Yes, I do make bears thanks for asking. I've been making them for about 10 years now. I used to sell them mostly at art shows and have only in the last three years gone to bear shows, I'm a bit backwards I know.
The town I'm from is FILLED with fine artists, jewlery makers, potters and sculptors so there art great art tours around here. Unfortunatly there aren't many bear artists. I've done the 'HUG-IN' in Toronto a few times ( it took me a while to work up the guts ) but I'm always nervous about what the bear community will think of my bears (typical artist).
Id really like to get more involved which is why I came here, to learn more about how o improve and grow my bears, and to meet people who love bears as much as I do.
I look forward to talking more with you
AndreaM
Paula, He's beautiful.................................what a 'BEARsonality'!
I'm sure the person you made him for will feel like the luckiest guy at the show!
And that nose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AndreaM
