Just to say a massive thankyou to everyone who supported me at my 1st bear fair at cornwall yesterday i had a lovely day and met loads of people, i had a great time and cant wait to do another i will post pics on my return home tomorrow, also a massive thanks to christine bears at the bottom of the garden whom met me there and even made me a little bear its adorable thanks christine melissaxxxxxxxxxxxxxx just a few until tomorrow as these are off my sisters camera i have all other artists collections on mine to download tomorrow when i get home

yes i bought a bear from the fair named ryan for my son
i would also like to thank jane for meeting me there and she also purchased my winning bear within minutes of me displaying on table thanks jane  honey bee on its way next week to youxxxxxxxxxx a lovely lady and pleasure to meet her...........

Hi i just couldnt put the needle down lol. this is HONEY BEE bear standing 17 inches tall again coming with me to cornwall bear fair.leaving tomorrow  weather now raining, take care all i will be in touch as soon as i get back  hope you all like my newest bear melissa x also good news i am in tbci august edition out 21st july artist preview i cant wait to read it i will have to order a copy...... so i have been busy  with that as well as sewing... going now as packing to do xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Well this is my last one for cornwall bear fair next sunday so i thought i would end on a happy bright note lol.... she is a lovely mohair bear  set with green glass sparkled eyes and wears handmade butterfly wings, flowers set in her hair , matching nose and blossom flowers on her hand and around her neck i do hope you like her......finsihed at long last i am exhausted so calling time i have loads to take with me and i am sure you will see some on my return ready to be listed on ebay  this will be my 1st fair  and  really looking forward to it i will let you know how it goes and get some pics to post on my return...... thanks melissa x

thanks christine and thanks lisa yes i have been busy but work all day and most of evening on them in time for show i have sore fingers and nearly finished now last 2 on there way 1 kitten and 1 wacky butterfly bear then pack and off we go lol.cant wait i am soooo excited now  and looking forward to my 1st show and to meet new faces and off course the sunshine on my holiday there HOPE IT DOESNT RAIN  i want to relax on the beach...............................................thansk melissa xx

hi gemma i dont think its greedy at all to collect bears i used to have a huge collection of deans but as i make bears now for a living i had to depart with them   to make room for my collections i have over 30 at the moment as i am doing a bear fair so space is  a issue to me i dont keep any of my bears as if i started keeping 1  i would never sell them as i would want to keep many. i have many collectors whom buy from me and they have into 100 s of bears in there collections  so you are not obsessed if it brings you comfort and joy then  buy them.. i love making bears and everytime i make one it brings me joy and i am not a collector..good luck in your future collection melissa x

all my idea come into my head when i have the fabric to hand and then i shop for all the pretty things to match the fabric its sooo fun i normally nip into hobbycraft for 1 thing and come out with a carrier bag full lol............. i am also known for writing ideas down even late at night thats bears for you on the brain all the time....... its like i have just had a new fabric its lovely but very scruffy hard to descirbe so i am thinking a wacky bear or a pair of scruffy kittens...

hi this is gizmo my upmost favorite cat ever.................... i adore the fabric the eyes the lot and so pleased with the result... my 9 yr old son named her and she will be coming to cornwall with me,  hope you like her melissa x

andrea you have had me in stitches reading your subject poor kitty lol but improvement defo  just adorable i love the face and the needle sculpting has bought this cat more alive ... i loath making anything from black the last black cat i made i cut it to bits lol re used the nose the eyes the lot lol  i just cant do black lol

thanks pauline i am so looking forward to it now but what a rush that will teach me in booking last minute...... but nearly ready now  i have everything i need for show i think :doh:  bags arrived today and they are lovely i must say if anyone is interested in purchasing bags then try the carrier bag shop online very reasonable and some lovely bags heres what i purchased the 1st ones are really nice large bags  for larger bears and the second ones are smaller ok for bears about up to 10 inches i think i paid about 30.00 with delivery for 30 of each so very pleased........

hi this is my newest bear a bunny to add to cornwall bear fair hope you like her she stands 16 inches tall to tips of her ears and she has been made from a lovely mixed mohair in chocolate tipps and cream  and of course her handpainted carrot pendant on her neck ruffle.....
