I'm pleased to introduce Bramble, my latest black bear cub. He is made from the last piece of a lovely Schulte alpaca that I have. It is a very dark brown, almost black tip with a dark reddish brown undercoat. It is difficult to describe, but very natural looking. He is designed to stand or sit, with six joints including a double-neck joint. He feet and paws are sculpted, brown leather. His eyes are English glass eyes with a felt backing. His face is needle and scissor-sculpted and shaded. He is stuffed with polyfill and plastic pellets. His nose has been hand-moulded from epoxy clay. He is a greedy, little cub with rather a large tummy.
Adorable!
My goodness, Melisa. You are such a talented lady!
He's a real beauty! Love him!
I will be sure I do loads of hugging when I get home from work!
Such a lovely gift! I wish I had friends like you!!
I've just bought a Singer Featherweight 221 that is two years older than me. It is a dream. It is SO quiet. It is small and light. The stitches are beautifully even. The machine is so easy to operate...and it looks fabulous with its black paintwork and gold trim. Classic. I bought it as a backup for when my Bernina 1008 goes in for its annual service...now I'm thinking maybe I should use the Bernina as the backup instead. I just LOVE this machine. I wish I'd bought one years ago.
I think I'm starting to understand how some men feel about their cars!

She's a stunner...a real femme fatale!
Wishing you all the best with your plans for 2011! It can be really helpful and motivating to write down your plans for the future. I am a 'list' person. I write a list off all the things I need to do over the next couple of days and get a lot of pleasure ticking them off as they are done. (If I don't write them down, I get anxious I'll forget something important). I'm not so good at long term planning the 'big stuff'. Last December I wrote a list of the things I wanted to achieve this year...but mislaid it immediately! Shane is right, though. Don't beat yourself up if everything doesn't go as planned. Life has a way of throwing us a curve ball from time to time, derailing the best-laid plans.
Wishing you success and all the best
Sue
What a wonderful dog...I love her harlequin colours. I think she could carry anything off...a real diva!
Really nice website, Richard. I like the colours and the 'feel' of the site. It is a lovely showcase for your work.

Just love that tum and sweet expression.
They are a wonderful pair!
Hi Lisa
He's wonderful. I love the way you've got the darker markings down his back. Awesome!

Thank you, Pauline!
What a darling, little panda. He seems to be looking at you through the camera, Peter.
Wee Bear has just arrived with the postman this morning. I am absolutely thrilled with him! He was Linda's giveaway prize last month. I don't know how she could bear to part with him...but I'm so glad she did! He arrived in a lovely miniature round hatbox. He is made from a beautiful rich brown alpaca and the amount of work in him is unbelievable! Each little paw has been sculpted and they all have claws. His back paws are about the size of the end of a pencil! His little face has the same expression Hope had as a new born cub...just adorable. He even has Linda's trademark leather nose and a little hump. Sorry my photography cannot do this little fellow justice, but he will be loved forever! He is stunning! How lucky am I! Thank you so much, Linda!
Thanks so much for your comments Louise, Isabelle and Katy. The reason Herbert is so large is that the alpaca was so long and dense, he had to be big to 'carry it off'.
I'd like to introduce Herbert. He is a rather large hare...19 inches to the top of his ears. He is made with lovely soft, dove grey and ivory alpaca. He has 6 joints including a double-neck joint, whiskers and black glass eyes. He was a pleasure to create...a real labour of love and I hope you think he was worth the effort. There is more information about him on my blog.
