Tami -
I could see him with a few simple changes made into a fab mouse. Add A Tail, Bigger Ears, and some Whiskers and viloa! You would have a very sweet mouse.
Good Luck with your ebay auction,
Jared

Thanks Jared,  thats a good idea, will have to try that sometime.
A mouse would be cute.

Tami, he is wonderful! It is hard to believe that he is your first one. I also love your name " Dolls N Dreams"!

Thanks Terrie,
I have used that name for 8 years now for the dolls so thought I would
keep it for the bears.  bear_original

I was finally happy with him. He is about 12" standing.  I had a ton of fun scissor sculpting him and shading his face.   I'm very proud of him,  bear_original  I think he turned out cute for my 1st original bear.

Hi Tami..I have made lots of synthetic bears and sometimes I do line them and sometimes I like the stretch...it can be used to advatage with some designs.
OK..so I line mine with thin ( cheap)  muslin ..... using an office stick glue on the musline to tack it down..same as for real fur which dosn't give.. You can even use those dryer sheets...it is the SAME thing as Pellon.... Winney

Thanks Winney!  bear_original

TamiL

I have a few pelts of fake fur I want to use for my new pattern I have made
but it does have a stretch to the backing, what can I line this with so it won't
stretch all out????
Is that what you have to do on faux fur that is sorta stretchy?
I want to make sure I like the new pattern before I cut it out in mohair  bear_cry

Interesting!  I know how to use PhotoShop, which is great for this kind of thing.  But I'm impressed with the seamlessness of your outcome.  Is the purpose of using white as a backdrop that the white is such a contrast to the bear, and thus is easily "selected" by your photo editing program?  That would make sense...

Is the shadow original to your photo or did you add that too?

I love photo editing.

Thanks, Tami!

The shadow is there, I only take pictures in natural day light!
Yes try your photo programs, they will do wonders for your
background.

TamiL

Thats funny Deb  bear_grin

Beautiful little bear, Tami.  You really ooze natural talent in this bearmaking thing.  Very nicely done, and I love the border!

You MUST, MUST, MUST tell me, though, where you got that fabulously pretty photo backdrop.  I've been holding off buying one because they're so stinking expensive, and I haven't found the "right" one that would blend best with everything.  I think this is it!  Would you be willing to share your source?

Thanks and hugs,

Hi, I learned this little secret along time ago when I first started making my dolls.
All you need to do is buy a couple of yards of the cheap looking vinyl material it comes in all kinds of color, I like the off white.
It looks like fake leather and kinda has a soft cotton backing. I bought it at Hancock Fabrics, I'm sure you can find it anywhere.
But the secret is your picture program. I use Ulead "Photo Impact" program it is a
wonderful way to add special background effects to your pictures.
I use the effect button to add any color to the background , then I use the blur effect to smear the color into the background, that is how you get the canvas look.
If ya need any help with it, just email me.
But that is a wonderful photo program.
Mine is version 5, I'm sure they have upgraded versions since then. LOL
Like I said mine is about 7 years old.

hugzzzzzzz

TamiL

Awwww that is a sweet puppy!  Congrats  bear_original

TamiL

Hi, its not that hard, I use a program called CoffeeCup HTML Editor,
I'm sure there are better ones out there now, I have used this one for
years. It pretty much writes the HTML for you.

It also good to try and learn some basic HTML if you want to go that way.
It is not really hard, it just takes some time and research. I taught myself.
Type in Basic HTML on a search engine and it will bring up loads of info.
