Anyhow, I found these items for about $2 each, all brand new and perfect bear sized.
Me too, me too. I'm in. I love vintage baby clothes and usually have a hard time finding them.
COOL ! ! ! Now . . . if someone would just give me a gift certificate.
Cool ! ! ! Thanks, Peta.
Yes, Jody, I love to collect the floaty pens. They are getting harder to find though. I've been buying tourist type pens when I can't find floaties. Like the Statue of Liberty and Louisville Slugger pens there.
There does seem to be a lot of the same things being collected. Then some really unique ones too.
Sarah, I do hope you will be feeling better soon, soon, soon. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Here are pics of my floaty pen collection and my artist bears collection:
I also have a collection of Beatrix Potter music boxes that are packed. I collected them when my daughter, Tracy, was a baby and I'm giving them to her now that she is going to have a baby. She's doing the nursery in Beatrix Potter fabrics.
I collect dishes too. I have about 8 sets of dishes. My favorite is a set of antique brown Stafordshire transferware that I use for Thanksgiving.
I collect "floaty" or "slidy" pens. You know the ones that have water and something that slides back and forth in the water? They have them in most tourist shops. I started collecting them years ago and I have about a gazillion of them. They're great to collect when you're traveling because they're only 3 or 4 bucks and they fit in your purse. Friends buy them for me when they travel so I have them from all over the world.
Of couse I have the ginormous bear collection too. I'll take some pics and post them later.
How cute and what a fun thing to collect ! ! ! I bought my mom a Liberduck (green statue of liberty rubber duck) in Las Vegas last year (she collects statue of liberty) very cute.
A big happy anniversary to you both Lisa and Charlotte ! ! !
What a beautiful bird and a fun guest for breakfast. I don't mean you had him for breakfast, well you know what I mean.
He's wonderful, Louise ! ! ! Yes, I agree, you should make more.
Oh Sonya, they are soooooo cute. OMG, has it been 4 weeks already?
Too cute. Their fur looks exactly like some mohair I'm making a bear out of right now ! ! !
Daphne, You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I haven't vacuumed my bears. I brush them after they're done also. I have central vac and would have to go underneath the house to retreive a piece. (Husband empties the canister, not me.) Good idea though, Shane, about the Shark. I'll have to check that out.
Congratulations to both of you, Danni and Ilze. Well done ! ! ! You both look GREAT. I'm working on it too. So far I've lost 23 pounds. My goal is 17 more.
Can you imagine the cleanup though
That had occured to me too, Debbie. The bigger the dog, the bigger the poop, right?
Soooooooooooo cuuuuuuuuuuuute
You're right, Chrissi. I checked out Gibson's website and Gibson is more spotted. Maybe this is Gibson's brother since they both live in Grass Valley.
I was wondering that myself, Bobbie. He's not a dog for the blind though, I know that. Maybe they discussed it on Oprah and someone who saw him on Oprah will know.
I saw this Great Dane at the grocery store in Grass Valley, CA and asked the owner if I could take pictures. Later I found out that this dog is in the Guiness Book of World Records for the tallest dog and has been on Oprah.
EDIT: I realize from seeing the pictures on Oprah's website that this isn't the same dog. But, don't ya' think this dog looks bigger. Both dogs live in Grass Valley, CA.
Excellent idea, Tammy. I've been using the "printing on fabric" method, but I like the ribbon idea better.
AWESOME ! ! !
A most prescious little bear, Louise. I'm sure she will be a comfort for your friend.
