I'm in love!
Such a pretty bear, and I've never heard of a pillow that was too big (or too many pillows for that matter:)
Becky
Thank you, Ellen! I was surprised to see him pop up after so long.
Glad you like Bertie:)
Becky
Tongue and teeth and everything! He's wonderful, and you take such good photos of your bears.
Becky
He is beautiful!
I like the fur, I like the feet, but most of all -- those ears sticking out from the hat -- so cute!
Becky
Cinnamon is just gorgeous, Tami, and he has such a sweet look that I forget to worry about where the rest of the witch went:)
Becky
The color you chose for the paw pads is really striking against the black fur -- lovely!
Becky
Nice embroidery, Ann! Does the 2002 date have special significance? (Only tell us if you want to, of course. Bears have been known to keep secrets sometimes:)
Becky
Wow -- thank you for this tutorial, Joanne! You've photographed and explained things very clearly.
Now if I practice for dozens and dozens of hours, I might be able to make something that approaches your beautiful bear noses:)
Becky
You chose the perfect name for this little morsel, Laura Lynn. He's scrumptious!
Becky
Cute! My first thought was that she was a center-seam monkey... Must stop looking at teddy bears so much:)
Becky
Dear Peter -- LOL -- I can't wait to get the package with the "old clothes and towels and stuff "!
Meanwhile, thank you for saying the bear is lovely:) I'm happy with the way he came out, but I also see every imperfection as if he were my first-ever bear. (I think I'll go back to beautiful mohair, now. It's such a good place to start.)
With my best,
Becky
"Blanket bear" is here! This was a true challenge and a learning experience for me. I had never made a bear that wasn't furry, and it really made me appreciate working with mohair fabric!
The bear is fully lined since I found that the old child-sized wool blanket I used had some stretch. And the first set of arms looked much too thin without any fur, so I redesigned a chubbier pair. The paw pads are cotton velvet, and the ruffle around the bear's neck is made from the satin edging of the old blanket.
Thank you, Ann, for posting this challenge idea!
Becky
Beautiful, Nataly! I thought it was a regular teapot at first, but it's really soft sculpture:)
It's a beautiful tiger cub, too, but I'm afraid I don't know the fairy tale...
Becky
You've been quite productive lately! It's always nice to see your cute teddies:)
Becky
Such a wonderful nose on this bear, and on your avatar bear, too. They both look very huggable, and I think I would smile every time I saw either one of them:)
Becky
Michelle, I was one of the people who didn't know that. Thank you for the information!
Becky
They're brilliant, Edie!
I don't know how anyone makes a one-inch animal of any kind, and then to make it cute, too... These two really do like the best -- and of course the unlikeliest -- of friends:)
Becky
They're wonderful, Laurie! They have antique-bear charm, and they're adorable without being syrupy sweet.
The one on the top with the little flower just melts my heart -- so soft and fluffy, and I love that "replaced" paw pad!
Becky
What a wonderful bundle of softness and cuteness:) The coin around his neck is a nice touch, too.
Becky
They're all gorgeous, and your giraffe wins first place in the AAA category (Adorable African Animals), according to me:)
