Thanks a lot girls, so glad you like my Ellie, she is my first elephant ever.
Hi.
I made a makeover on one of my bears today, he got needle felted facial details - I hope you like him.
Hi.
Here is Ellie, she is a small white and pink elephant on 5,5 inch sitting.
Ellie is made from minibear fabric in white and pink and with handyed ultrasuede in ears and footpads,
she is filled with polyfill and some steel pellets.
Ellie has black glasseyes with some brown shading, she'll come with a insewn tag and swingtag too.
I'll list her on Bear Pile later today.
Hi girls.
I'm not giving up - just interested to hear what you think too
I think it will be better, no one shoud live without having one or better many teddy bears, they are
so cute and gives lots of hugs to you
Nice to hear your thoughts
Hi girls.
thansk for the answers, maybe customers is hiding the money under the bed
Hi.
I know that times is hard now; but are the sale of teddy bears very much down rigth now or what ?
I have had a long break from bears, so I don't really know how it is ???
I'm on Bearpile for a month, that is all I know about, and many tells is the worst month for some time,
are there other places with better sales ?
Thanks so much Doriane and Lisa
To answer your question Lisa I use an awl to make a hole in the head to insert the eye loop then sew them in with sinew. I tie it off at the back of the head and then felt over the indent. The eyes are secure and the head is smooth and round when your done
thanks for the answer, you are very, very good - I have felted a few animals and ted's but they don't look like this one
What a cute needle felted bear
How do you place glass eyes in felt without disform the bear ???
What a cute little bear cub
Aww, what a cute wee guy, love that face. Are you happier with this design?
Yes I am and thanks - I made another one today and I think that is the best so far, but it need a body
Hi.
They are cute both of them, but I would say that the ears is huge on both of them, but most one the second bear.
The 2. bear has very big legs/feets too - maybe you could make them smaller next time and mark
the place for the joint so they are even.
I have a mark on the pattern with a hole so I can make the joint point even.
This cute white bunny is up for adoption on bearpile today...
To me a character bear is maybe like: little red riding hood, Alice in wonderland, Einstien, Nils Bohr,
HC Andersen, something like that - a well known figure.
What size are they and what size do you need? I could be interested.
They are 2 mm and black, I can use all size from 4 mm and up - I can't see to make the tiny bear anymore.
Thanks for all the answers. I still don't have a teddy bear making book even if I have made many, many ted's
I like to experiment sometimes and then it could be nice to have a book for reference, I'll go looking at the books now.
She is a cute and rare animal
This cute girl named Betty in for adoption on Bearpile, she is 9,5 inch and made in mohair, take a look.
SOLD...
Is there a thread with trade or sell bear stuff ?
I have some very tiny glass eyes I don't use and would like to trade them for another size,
but I could not find a thread ?
He is cute, he looks like trouble
I would like to know what you think is the best teddy bear book.
I'm interested in learning more about design
and other tips, I can make some patterns, but would like to learm more complicated types as well
Did you try using darts? A dart on each side at the top of the head will round it out more, and make it less 'peaky' if that's the problem you're experiencing. Darts in general will round things 'sideways' if you see what I mean
No, I have no darts in the pattern, I'll try it
