Have you tried garnet? It's nice and heavy and great in the bottom of feet to help a teddy to stand.
Di's Bear looks like one of Ilze Linssen's. Am I right. Heres a link... http://www.bearzbyilze.com.au/PATTERN_TOMMYTURTLE.html
Yes, you're right. Sorry I haven't been on for awhile until today. I'm very proud of little Tommy. I'd love to make some more of her patterns one of these days.
I've just started the Basic Bear Boot Camp with Nancy Tillberg on EBearz. Printed and cut out the pattern today so that's a start!
Very cute Andrea!
Great explanation and photos Pat.
Just looking at some photos and wondering if some of the bears only have cording on top and bottom of the eyes and no eyelids? I'd been wondering what was on the bottom of some bears eyes.
I need to go and check out instructions on doing eyelids now.
Such a cute, smiley little face. Just love him!
What a cutie!
Very cute and wild!!
Cool. I couldn't help but sway from side to side with the music!
Kelly, I saw some of your work last night on Facebook and was admiring it.
Ringo is gorgeous. He's so cute!
I've never known about brushing between "coats" so I'll have to give that a try on a scrap.

Nicky, I agree with all the above too, and she is just beautiful. I love the way you've done her eyes. It's entirely up to you where you place the nose and eyes. It's all a matter of what placement looks the best for that particular bear.
For a self taught bear maker you are doing well.
How cute!
We saw quite a few bears when we were over in Canada a few years ago which was great. Saw one standing up at a tree when I was getting a lift back to the ship from a salesman to collect something I'd forgotten and he stopped so could take a photo (hopefully attached), until it decided to run towards the ute we were in. Boy did we take off quickly!!!
Hi Olga. Finick is soooo cute! I just love him. Do you sell something like this if requested? It intrigues me how something like this can be crocheted! I've only ever known cotton thread to be used. What do you crochet with to get the fluffy effect?
