Kim,   the house looks great, I can see why you have been preoccupied!    The house look so stately and that old stove!    Just wonderful.    Were glad you are back and look forward to more updates on the house and your new bears!

Very nice Chloe,  you have done a great job!      I do tend to agree that they yellow is a tad hard to read but I like the lay out and of course the content is adorable!  Great Job!

I received this yesterday and really thought it was a great idea.    I travel on a weekly basis for my job and always try to say thank you every time I can but it is not always easy to take a moment to stop when you are in a hurry.

I did not see this posted before, so I hope it is not a duplicate.  Please pass on if you feel it is appropriate!

Sounds wonderful!      I must admit I had to look up    "troglodyte"   I think this is the correct meaning?      "One of a group of people who built homes into the faces of cliffs, connected by underground passageways, such as in France or Tunisia."

Again, contratulations!

You must be bursting at the seams with excitment knowing that you will have so much more space!    Do I see a teddy room in your future?    The house is lovely!     I love the look of it, I imagine spring flowers flowing from window boxes on the upper windows.    So charming it is!

I remember the fun of my 1st house!   I laid on the floor in the living room for about 2 hours after I bought because I was in such disbelief that I actually owned a home!    over 10 years later I laid in that same spot and cried because I loved it so much!   Be sure to take more pictures as you can, it will be great to look back at them over the years and we will all be waiting for updates in April!

I am so happy for you!  Will you and Malko have to travel far for work?   Are there lots of shops close?   What is the town like?  Is it far from where you are now?

New home hugs to you and Malko

Sophie,   I am so glad to hear you both liked it,    discussing it the other day inspired me to make some also!  Although I must admit it did not last long   bear_tongue     If I need to make it a day or two ahead of time I like to wrap it in plastic wrap to hold the moisture in until it is served.  I think the best part of the bread is that it is so dense and moist.

Great news tohear that the english teacher has joined in on the bread topic.    Keep us posted on how it is going with the kids!

Happy Banana bread eating!

Thank you SueAnn for sharing more pictures!   I love them!  bear_wub I really like the one with the plaid bow.   I see why your collectors do like them, the look is so unique.   Especially when combined with your style of bear.

When you sew on the yarns, do you do a quilting effect, sort of sew all around in various patterns to hold down the yarn?   How do you handle the seam allowance?     Gosh, there are so many types of yarn ont he market these days the possibilites are endless!

Again, thank you for sharing, one more idea to add to the long list I already have - I just wish there was more time to try everything!

thanks SueAnn!

Heart breaking photos yet wonderful to know that someone is taking the time, love and effort to help her through this time.     I like the photo towards the end with her facing the camera, there is so much more life in her eyes!    I woudl also love to follow her story.  thank you for sharing!   And good luck wiht your decision on possibly adding a new friend to your home!

Sueann,   I just noticed your Avatar changed - Stunning bear!     I did some looking around to see if you have posted on this bear but I can not find anything.

Is this a new bear?    I would love to know more about him/her?    What tyoe of material is that?     I am intrigued!

I hope your doing well and might have a moment to post a bit more?

Hi Sophie,     I hope you are doing well!

I do not have a picture to share but for me the bread I love the most is Banana-Nut bread,   great for a sweet bread breakfast,  Usually has walnuts and mashed bananas, very heavy, dense add sweet bread!   Not a really traditional store bought bread here but more a home baked bread.  Here is a link for more info:

the other one that is very popular and for me evokes pictures of home since I grew up in New Mexico is the Tortilla .   More from the Southwest part of the United states/Mexico. It is a non-raising flat bread. there are several types, Corn, Flour, whole wheat. Each one has a very different taste and texture as well as sizes from 6 inches to 12 inches.  Here is another link that may be helpful.  I eat tortillas with most meals and always have them on hand, as you can toast them or fill them with just about anything!  they are great with soup, peanut butter and Jelly, cheese, Cinnamon and sugar  or hot dogs!  Traditionally you would fill them with meat mixture and a chili sauce, made with red or green chilies.   Call me crazy but I love tortillas with anything!

Good luck and I hope your students have fun!

Hi Gaby, I know what you mean by getting side tracked when looking for one thing, that is how I manages to end up with three dogs!   Now I try to stay away from the sites we have here for re-homing dogs!  If not I would end up with a few more!      There is something lovely about his face  - it is so disheartening to see dog in that shape.  It just kills me that there are so many people that do not take responisiblity of their animals and allow them to end up in poor shape sometimes with unstable personalities/   It is very kind of you to take and active roll in helping him!

I do like the idea of getting another playmate/friend for Morschi.   My last two doggies (both Chow Chows)  were much older when I rescued my third dog.  Ranger was 14 and Meechee was 12.  Getting the third dog who was 6 months old at the time and a 1/4 thier size but brought so much life to them.   I was afraid that in their old age that they might not appreciate a younger dog but I was surprised at how much they loved her.   It was like they turned into puppies again!   Best decision I ever made!

Good luck and thank you for sharing!  Keep us updated on what happens!

Heather, Julie - I laughed out loud at your cute kitty pictures, they are all so adorable!  The havoc that must go on in the heat of bear making must be a challenge!

Raewyn - I am with you on the "cold nose in the arm - love me I need it" moments   we have many here at my house and the same thing happens - one make a move and all the others think they might miss out so they join in too.

Where would we be with out our little helpers - especially Pookie, she's even grabbing for the scissors to help!    Good Kitty

Very cute bear Lynette!

Duff

Thank you Ladies!  She is such a lilttle lover - she is the 1st small dog I have ever owned and I have spoiled her rotten!  She is also a nursing home theraly doggie as she loves to cuddle and be the center of attention!

Daphne - Maria,    I too have two other under table floor holder downers!     Although neither  one of them have long hair so no supplies have gone missing   bear_tongue     although I do lose the occasional joint disk or thread spool to them!

I think the worst experience I had was my big dog ate a small bear I was working on and I did not know it until I found it in the back yard while doing doogie doo clean up!  I could not imagine what could have happened to the bear, looked every where for it      He is as big as I am so good news things tend to make their way through him   bear_tongue

Millie - Love! your wonderful collection of helpers!  they are all just adorable, expecially the laughing Kitty, what a great shot!
The picture of you and your son is great,  Looks like you were having a great time!   Great imagination, I am imagining the two of you riding off to the sunset in the desert!

I too have an addiction to drawers, doors, boxes, containers, anything that will hold something!    but for all the doors and drawers I have it all ends up outside of them in no time!     bear_wacko   hence the new years resolution -  maybe this year I will be better...   maybe not !

Duff

Just a tib bit to pass this along in the event that anyone is getting organized for the new year.   bear_grin   It is my new years resolution for this year so I thougth I would pass this along as it is on sale as a pretty good price

Earlier this year a found a great deal on a similar storage unit from this company and got an amazing deal  (US shipping only I think).  I was parusing their web site today and ran accross this one, also on sale.

The one I have is  similar but has two set of drawers on either side and the shelves in the middle.     It has been the best furniture  purchase I have made in ages!      I love mine as the storage possibilites are amazing and it holds tons of teddie "bits" as well as it does not look to "crafty" in nature.  this one has a variety of colors for those who need a different color.

I also bought my Office furniture here (i work from home in my day job so I needed file storage, desk, etc. and have been very please with that purchase also)

Wow, I just watched the clip from above,   not sure quite how I feel about them just yet.  as a work of art they are just amazing, as for the emotions that appears to go along with them.  I supoose it is a similar feeling to looking at and holding an amazing bear that you just fell in love with.     I remeber the 1st bear I ever fell in love with and to this day I wish I had bought it but at the time the price was way out of my ball park... stills is.  But I do remeber the feeling I got from the bear.  I just did not want to put it down.

thank you for sharing, very interesting!
