Jane...i have the secret now on how to let no-one's negativity or annoyance affect ya.......reply back with: 'uuuuummmmmm', 'oooohhhhh', 'uuuuummmmmm', 'oooohhhhh' 'uuuuummmmmm', 'oooohhhhh',
'uuuuummmmmm', 'oooohhhhh' - You'll get either two responses: they'll either think you nuts and leave you alone altogether as no-one wants to be around a 'nut' :crackup: ..or you'll get a very perplexed look.......
It's working for me so far..when Eliza and Hayden get into their sillly arguments over the TV remote control...and expect me to referee...that's what they get back! :crackup:
That is just sooo sweet..that baby is beautiful too.
Vicki, my heart goes out to you and your family...that is such an invasion and a dreadful feeling, my sister was burgled earlier this year and the worse of it, her 13 year old son was asleep on her bed the wholetime these low-lives were in her room ramsacking it....when my mum lived in Sydney, she was burgled over 1/2 dozen times in this particular area she moved to (not kidding)..they even stole her Maltese Terrior dogs...and mistreated a German Shepherd so badly that she was petrofied even when you patted her..the Insurance companies would no longer insure her due to everytime she purchased new stuff, they'd steal it again..she lost so much self esteem and didn't care in the end...so i got her to move up here where i am a much safer place.....It's so sad that these people can't earn their own way in life, but steal from others....i hope they catch them and lock em up! :hug:
Dear Jayne...i find you one of the kindest, caring of people with great sense of humour...I was in stitches a few years ago when you did that Cruise Ship with everyone on TT....i especially loved my skinny body you gave me! (lol) ...hilarious fun...please keep up everything you do.......Your a loving lady, don't change what you do because of one comment...take care good friend, Lisa.xxx
P.s. did i tell you my Nikoli (King Charles) will be one in December...his soooo beautiful...
Thanks Brenda, Joanne, Sarah, Elieen, Denise, Laura and Eva..it's so wonderful to hear that you ladies are enjoying your ages and life in general.... my Nan always say's to enjoy every decade as the best one is yet to come..she just turned 80 in August..all the family took her out to the Club that she likes and she was still 'grooving' at 3am! She was the only one left that wasn't tired and DID NOT want to go home...she loves life which is great..Pops 84...so i suppose i can deal with me turning 40...NOT. (lol) :o
Oh..revised to say P.S. Eileen, had a huge giggle at 'beer' spilling over your keyboard blamed on the doggie... :crackup: I once wiped over my laptop on (the LCD) screen bit..with a very wet cloth..uuumm, no more laptop - lesson learnt..no liquid whatsoever!...
no worries to answer Judi..i just seen his books and his not the same motivational bloke on TV with Leeza Gibbons...I purchased 3 of the books just then on Ebay...thanks for letting me know about him....
lisa
Thanks Judi and Eva for putting it that 40 is just a number..i never viewed it that way.....I'll go look for Wayne Dyer on ebay...as i need some motivation in my life at the moment..is he the man on those Ads with Leeza Gibbons, his a motivational speaker, but i'm wondering if it's the same guy as i forgot his name....
(lol)...my 4WD number plates are OZ MAT short for Oz Matilda, yet people have often asked do i make 'mats' (rugs)...ha.ha.
Judi wrote: Lisa, yes, everyone should read that book along with Wayne Dyers The power of Intention.
And don't worry about turning 40 I will be 44 in March and I don't feel like it at all. I think teddy bears and other darling animal creations keep bear artists very young at heart and when you are feeling younger and happy it radiates and you look younger. People often are surprised at my age and I say it is he bears that keep me young. I beleive that with all my heart.
----
Judi, Whats the book about 'Power of intention'?...is it New Age or something?....i'm glad you and others feel young in their 40's...i'm so depressed about turning 40, maybe coz it's another new era? so need to change my whole lifestyle, maybe include Yoga or something....My husband just turned 50 in August and it didn't bother him at all and he doesn't even have a grey hair, nor looks his age.....i'm having huge problems with me turning another number....

Can relate to all the above posts especially those needles, scissors, bits and bobs down the sides of the sofas and seeing bear pattern designs in tiles! :crackup:
Funny thread.... :crackup: :crackup:
Husband beware living with a Crazy work aholic Bear Artist after 20 years of marriage! - eventually turns into a Nut House
**When your husband asks is it my turn to cook dinner again?...answer, yes, your turn is every night, unless you want vegemite on toast!...
**When your husband asks when are you coming to bed...answer: when you wake up to go to work, i need sleep you know!
**When your husband asks when are you going to finish painting the house: Answer, next year;
Husband decides and you start thinking!
**He builds you your own work studio/granny flat with kitchen/bathroom and spare rooms....You think: What, are you kicking me out of the house?
**When you only see each other passing the hallways in the AM of the wee morning: You think: What, don't you want to have a chat?
**When someone rings for you and their told, she lives in another house, ring back lunch time tomorrow!
Definatly somethings wrong when
**You didn't realise there is a brand new Laundry room built in the main house and it's been there for months;
**You don't wear a bra anymore, but walk around in PJ's all day long;
**Your told your toaster has been swung up and now resides in a tree;
**You forgot it's legal for women to put petrol in the car, so drive until it konks out;
**You forget to go to the hairdressers to have your hair coloured, so wear it up all the time instead;
**You forget what day and month your in;
**You go food shopping and have no idea what your doing or what is needed;
**You loose your way driving to your own mothers house;
**Your daughter just has a quick read of what your writing and tells you 'mum, you have no life'!
New Decisions to think about doing one day soon
**Read Men are from Mars, Woman are from Venus;
**Work normal hours and go to bed at reasonable times;
**Have a day off a week and remember your body needs to be fed food, fur fibres just bloat you up;
**Wear a bra so they don't sag another metre South;
**To remember that i turn the big 40, the last day of September and hide under my bed and cry...What happen to me?
:hug: Lisa
Hi Tami..."ditto to your work too".....
Know the bears above aren't the proto-types, but their the actual re-creations by Charlie Bears.....i just photographed one i have here from them with a black background as i think it brings out the 'correct' colourings of the bears...rather than the 'stark white background' they used. However, their re-creations are exact to my designs i did for them, was very amazed at how well they copied them right down to the light airbrushing affect and how well they are made...their 'faultless'...
When they asked me to design for them, i stressed that i would only design 'bears' that i would want mostly children to have..soft and cuddly (as you can't take my own bears to bed with you) (LOL)..their stuffed way too hard...and also they had to be different to my 'one of a kind designs' and/or designs that collectors have purchased over the years from me....this way, i didn't feel that my designs were being compromised into plush teds....and pretty much i could have it both ways...they did want one of my 'older' looking teds...so i only designed one more for them being an old style fellow...Waldo!..photographed below...his floppy with a cotter pin neck...my designs in the early 1990's were a mix of old style bears stuffed with Excelsoir to the very soft and cuddly like i have done for Charlie Bears which i think suits their business following....Thanks Tami, take care...lisa.xx :hug:
This is Waldo...my older style bear i designed for them..this is their pretty much exact re-creation of the original prototype...
Hi Andrea, thankyou for purchasing Hershey from Charlie Bears which were designed by myself and re-created by that wonderful company in the UK......Below are a few promotional photographs of both Hershey and Biddles taken by Charlie Bears for their catalogues....the bears certainly are more beautiful in real life and much softer...think the 'light background they used has made the bears look a tad harsh in colouring'......It is however, often said that bears/dolls look much more nicer in the flesh than viewing photographs....if you'd like to see 'Biddle's' in the flesh, you can visit any UK retailer bear store as they stock the majority of the Charlie range Designs and i'm sure you will be most delighted with her, she is the same price as Hershey....happy bear hunting .... Regards. Lisa Rosenbaum/Oz Matilda Bear Co Australia/ for Charlie Bears UK....
Edited to say: Your Hershey looks very cute in his seatbelt!.....
