Hi Everyone!! Meet my latest creation..a little orangutan ( or Chimputan hehe!) Hope you like him! Let me know your thoughts guys!!xx

'Willopee' is a 13 1/2 inch OOAK Lombard Bears Orangutan.....My first little orangutan!! He is made from a gorgeous rusty coloured mohair with a dark brown back and has beautiful soulful blue glass eyes from the UK. His feet , hands and inner ears are a lovely soft chocolate suede which I have hand stitched to make fingers and toes. 'Willopee's' face is sculpted needle felt which I have hand shaded with inks to give him all his character. He has my signature 9-way jointing system so he sits like an ape and he is filled with wool then weighted with steel shot so he feels like a real little creature

The day before my Birthday and I received my gorgeous swap  bear 'Redfern' and an adorable friend 'Ernie the Elephant', from my swap partner Laurie!!!!!
I LOVE them both and feel totally spoilt!!!!!!!!! Elkie loves them too!!!Thank you so much Laurie :hug:  :hug:  :hug:

I am thrilled to say that my entry 'Sammi' the Rat has won the Australian Creative Design Award for ' Most Innovative Design and Workmanship Excellence' !!! This is the second year running that I have been fortunate enough to win this fabulous award!  A BIG Thank You to Sandi Smith  for organizing this challenging award with such fabulous trophies....it excites artists to get creative!!!!

All entries are viewed by Kathy Martin former Editor of the UK Teddy Magazine 'Teddy Bears Scene UK' and Kathy chooses the 10 that are to receive nominations to go through to the final judging stage which is hands-on-judging by 3 independent judges. We send our creations in and each judge separately judges you on workmanship ,creativity and originality and we receive back their judging sheets and scores. The winners are notified when their creations are sent back with or without a trophy included.
I was Soooooooooooooooo Thrilled to find the top award inside my package with 'Sammi'. !!!!!!!!
I feel so proud to have won this award as it is one of the few left that asks for the creations to be hands-on-judged!!
