Gemma, this little butterfly is adorable ! ! ! I love his little tiny seashell necklace too.
You're up early, Jodi. Well . . . I don't use glue, I haven't done an auction yet. I'll be doing bid4 bears next week.
I like the firm type from Walmart for the muzzle and the areas around the joints, then I stuff the rest with a softer type stuffing.
I cut a nose out of black craft felt, pin it on then when I'm ready, I take it off and use it as a model for a needlefelted nose, then sometimes I will embroider over the needlefelted nose (makes a nice puffy nose), sometimes just leave it needlefelted.
I used to sew all by hand, but I've developed a painful "trigger finger" in my middle finger so I've started sewing all by machine. The trigger finger isn't getting better so I think I'll need a cortisone shot in it. Ouch.
I use markers for shading but my mom is giving me an airbrush so I'm excited to start experimenting with that.
I use a bandaid tape on my finger too, but I buy it in a roll and it's kind of sticky so it makes a good needle gripper too. It's made by 3M.
I saw it in a magazine article and thought it was a great idea. But none of the paint stores in our area carried it.
I think it's cool. I want one.
I love your new bear, Gemma. Great face and great feet ! ! !
My dog gives me that same look if I put clothes on him.
WOW, amazing ! ! ! Brought tears to my eyes.
Congratulations, Sonya ! ! ! Yes, pictures :photo:
I think when they make the frozen diet dinners, they think they have to load them with garlic and onions to give them flavor. It makes them TERRIBLE ! ! ! I'm not that crazy about garlic and onions anyway. Hubby and I went to Applebees Restaurant the other day and I ordered a dinner on their WW menu. It was just as terrible as their frozen dinners. Too much garlic and onions. I asked the waitress if they could make it without and she said the WW dinners were already prepared. Hmmm . . . WW frozen dinners, right? Coulda stayed home and done that.
I've lost 18 pounds in the last couple months. I just watch my calories and try to stay under 1200/day, eat lots of fruits and veges and walk 2.5 to 3 miles 4 to 5 days a week. I have a problem with a sweet tooth in the evening so I've been making a pot of decaf and having a cuppa with Splenda and Vanilla fat free creamer. It's like a dessert. I have 20 more to go and I want to be there by the end of the summer.
Me toooooo. A few months ago I moved my computer station into my studio. I'm beginning to think that was a big mistake. I might have to move it back upstairs to the office.
Oh my, you have been busy. What wonderful babies you've birthed ! ! ! I especially love Chopper
#4 then #2
Alrighty then, Daphne. Expecting a report here. Interview must be over by now.
I recently purchased glass beads from Harbor Freight Tools here in the U.S. My husband picked it up for me when he was in town and when he returned, I opened the bottle and found it to be so fine, almost like dust. It's not at all like the glass beads I was used to. I used it though, and I really like it. I think it would be perfect for minis. It's 80 grit and used for sandblasting. I noticed that the guy that worked on my daughter's car used it for sandblasting her radiator. Laura Lynn uses it too and really likes it.
Daphne, your day sounds like mine. It's 2:00 pm now and I'm still in my jammies. I think jeans and a sweater would be fine for an interview. I think it would look weird if you were dressed up in your own home. Did they tell you what colors NOT to wear? There are certain colors that don't work on TV. White is one. We tell our "talent" not to wear green because we film in front of the green screen. If they have green dots, it looks like they have holes in them. But, of course, that won't be the case for you. I'm a film editor for our local access TV station so I know, they'll make you look good by editing out all the junk.
Oh the red rose is beautiful, Charlotte, but for a pin cushion, I love the cactus idea.
Love it ! ! ! !
WOW ! ! ! !
I like mine a little heavy too. It seems to make them more substantial. I stuff mine pretty hard too, but don't you have to stuff pretty firmly to get the shape the way you want it?
Hello again Gaby. Hope you're feeling better. Best of luck with your show. How exciting. We'll expect a report and pictures ! ! !
Tami, I'm so sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in my prayers.
Thanks, Jodi. I sent this to my (kinda gullable) daughter.
Oh too cute ! ! ! I can't wait to see this little crowd from the front.
