Hi Kimberly....Daniel is just wonderful...sooo appealing...a very, very, loveable lion!!!!!

I think he would look even more wonderful, on a plain backing......but hey...if you are able to, I think
you should keep him...he's just too precious!!

Hi Mindy,

What a fantastic idea......I'm here in England, but subscribe to the magazine.......I'm sure it will be a resounding

Hi Irene,

I exhibited at Alexander Palace last year, actually it was my very first show.........as Paula has already said it is a

wonderful venue, and  a very well organised show. I found it to be ideal for me as a first time exhibiter, as the

hall was very spacious, and the stands well spaced, not at all crowded. It was not a very busy show......but the

overall ambience was lovely......I am sure you will enjoy it.....I am exhibiting again in October, so hopefully we

will meet!!!!

Hi Shantell........I use the same method as Kim and Jenny.......beeswax and hairdryer.....the only thing I have noticed, when waxing pale coloured noses, is that the wax does take down the colour and make it darker!!!!!!

Anyway happy waxing!!!

Hi Jane,

Have you tried ebay.........when I first started bearmaking, and was making more traditional bears,

I always used to find all my victorian, antique bits a pieces on there, for reasonable prices! Have a

look, I know there is a whole section on medals and badges!

Hope this helps,

Hugs,

Yvonne

Phew........just come in from my workroom.....so want to carry on, this bears going really well, but its
sooooooo hot,..... there's about as much mohair on me as the bear!!! (been trimming the muzzle. with fan on not a good idea).....I live in Aylesbury too, and Jane my friend it certainly is yucky!!......just heard the
weather forecast...and its the same again tommorrow !!!!!

Diane. and Melanie, hope that rains coming our way!

Hi Paula,

Interesting question....... This has puzzled me for a while, because the bears I'm always drawn to personally
are completely different from what I make.....strange!!!!..... maybe it stems back to childhood......when
our teddy bears where always traditional, and a little battered and well loved!.

I just love sad, vintage looking artist bears, with antique accessories........even better if they happen to be really tiny miniatures!! .....Having said this,..... I also really admire a maker with true artistry, who can create a bear thats very different, and modern.....with lots of fine detail!!!

Hi Catherine,

I have a little very nervous cat, that unfortunately is often not well, and like you I have to try and administer

tablets to. Sometimes even though she is off her food.....I can often tempt (her with a little amount  about a

teaspoon of pilchards in tomato sauce (tinned) mashed up, plus crushed tablet......on the occassions that I

can't get her to eat.......I have a device which I purchased from my vet, a bit like a small pea

shooter, which holds the tablet .......I then wrap her in a towel...(she really hates me).....prise her mouth

open and fire!!!.......I then hold her jaw together until she swallows!!!...it usually works.

Hope this helps a little, and that your poorly cat is soon better!

Hugs,

Yvonne.

Hi Penny,

My husbands a very, keen birdwatcher, and also a member of the RSPB,  he thinks the best thing to do is

give them a call, you can do this anonomously, and they will deal with it , without you becoming involved.

(the local number is-01767 680551). It's illegal to disturb nesting birds, and is also illegal to kill any bird

that is not considered to be a pest species...........apart from anything else....he could damage your

house.......or indeed you!!.......take care of yourself and your family....ring now!

Hugs,

Yvonne

Yvonne

Hi Jenny,

I do exactly the same thing as you, as I can't stand to do commissions, ...........I think you have done all you can.........other than maybe extend the deadline by another day......as she may be on a fortnight's holiday!

Yvonne

Great work Jane.............Packito is fantastic!...well done!

Hugs,

Yvonne.
