I'm very fond of Old Dog Haven. (olddoghaven.org). They take in senior pups. St. Francis sounds wonderful. If my sales pick up, I'm thinking of adding a couple more charities to the list.
Thanks, Bobbie ;-)!
That sounds like it would work. Becky! I usually thread joint mine, too, if they're jointed. I've also ran a wire in through the limbs and one going from one side of the body to the other. I then took my jewlers pliers and made an eyelet and passed the wire sticking out of the limb through that and curled it with my pliers until it was tight. Here's the finished piece that I did that with.
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!
I love your bears. But I don't have a links list as of yet. But I would be happy to follow your blog
Thanks Off the Paw, Bearyfun & Pat!
Thanks so much, Cheryl & Karen! Your compliments mean a lot to me.
Here's my latest little one. She stands 7 inches tall. Honey has been weighted with steel shot and she has Apoxy Sculpt claws. Her eyes are black onyx beads. Honey didn't sell after several attempts on eBay. So I redressed her with a bone bead choker and gave her an impossibly large needle feltd salmon to snack on before she heads off for her long winter's nap. Her 7 day auction started last night at 6:45 PM PDT. She's also part of my "Sale of Sorts" which means she's being started at $9.95 with no reserve. The auction is set to private just in case she's purchased as a gift. That's not all mention my "Sale of Sorts" and this forum and get free domestic shipping (US only) or $10.00 off international shipping (worldwide).
Thanks and good luck!
Wendall is wonderful! Good luck with your workshop and tutorial. I may be one of your online students.
Oh my goodness! He is so so sweet! I love his little face and expression! You've outdone yourself, Melisa. He's my favorite so far.

Thanks Kimmi & Barbette!
I'm thinking of trying to nuno felt the next pair of fairy wings I do. Nuno felting is a wet technique that produces a sheer felt. I can't wait to get started. It looks like a lot of fun.
He's really cute! I love his expression!
thanks Becca & Joanne!
Joanne, her wings were felted from Corriedale. Then they were boiled in Orange Koolaid. When they dried, I embroidered them and detailed the edges with llama wool. I ironed them to heat set the dye.
Thanks for the compliments on Iris! they really mean a lot to me!
Thank you, Brenda! I was kind of surprised. She had a lot of watchers.
Thanks everyone :-)!
