I hope all the whippets enjoyed the move too.
It will probably take them a while to get used to new surrounds.
Thinking of you with all that unpacking.
As I've already said, Mindy, I'm so grateful to you for your reports. I'm so far away that I'd never have a chance to see this, with out your camera and words.
Thankyou again
Sandy, big hugs go to you and yours on your loss. I've been thru this too many times in the past and it never gets easier. Try to remember the best of times.
Mindy, Thankyou for your wonderful reports. I really appreciate the peek into the toy fair world. Being so far away I never thought I'd be able to see this, but you've made it possible. A round of applause for you and your camera
Hi Deb,
I use dark smokey topaz eyes for my dogs. Gives a more realistic look.
Shoot Kim....Now you've told everyone my 'secret to trimming bears'....dog trimming tools....being a dog groomer and dog show fanatic all my life
Congrats girls, I'll go and buy a copy today. I hope you get lots of calls, as I've found it great advertising, in the past.
I agree
Thinking of you and hubby.
Me too
Hayley, I know what you mean...but, as Deb says, where do you draw the line.
What about someone (NOT A TT MEMBER) who has been nominated for a BIG award RECENTLY and you know that it is probably not deserved. Their workmanship is usually c..p, the head is probably twisted (and hidden under a hat) and they have told everyone who'll listen that someone else cuts out the bear, sews it up, stuffs it, makes the clothes, but she stuffs the head and that means she's an 'Artist'.
Even someone who has only won a few blue ribbons may make a bear that appeals more and is made just as well as others with the big name.
'Award winning' is such a generic term and I guess I'd like to think that savvy collectors see thru it and buy what they truly like.
I think what I'm saying is.... you have won awards and your bears may be better than others with supposedly higher awards, so why not use the term?
Yeeaahh. I knew you'd get thru.
You are so smart Sophie, I'm sure you'll get one of those scientific lecture reseacher jobs you wanted.....I'm so bad at science I'm not even going to try to write what you do
Congrats on your nomination Sue Ann... and well deserved it is!!
Congrats Judi on your well deserved achievements.
Yeeaahhh!! Congrats Louise on your nomination and well deserved
I didn't lose ANYTHING this week...but that's better than gaining I spose.
I'm not going to get down about it because you girls and guys make me laugh.
Mmmoooooooooo back!!
Oh Mindy, thanks so much
It would be so great to see what goes on, when there is no chance for us 'Aussies' to go ourselves.
Pics and more pics sounds great
Neither do I
Hope everything goes well and you recover quickly
Laughing all the way to the pantry
Judi, I think its neat that we can all read this way.
Scott, I thank you for sharing your disability with us....what courage you have to share your deepest fear....knowing all the caring TT's though I'm sure you will receive wonderful support and encouragement.
What fools those institutions are that BREAK THE LAWS regarding Disability Discrimination. My son is disabled and had similar problems with schools and tertiary institutions and it makes me so mad......
You now must realise though that we can read typos and misspelt words so the presure to spell perfectly can be reduced, Scott....be like the rest of us and if a typo slips thru don't get stressed out, we don't love each other for our spelling, you know.
Yes, Sue Ann, its sorta like 4th of July. The problem for us was that it was so hot, around 40 degrees, with a howling north wind and bushfires were blazing across the state. I was worried and watchfull all day (we were only minutes from being evacuated last sunday night and it made me nervous) There is still a fire a couple of hours from here with a fire front of about 300 kilometres.
I spent the day keeping the dogs cool and watching the cricket and tennis on TV (it was too hot to exercise me so I watched others instead
)
Oh Boy!!!...what a gorgeous sight...wish you could send it here...we're MELTING.
I love it!!
Congrats Tami, he looks just so cute
You should be very proud of yourself, lovey
