ttkitty.jpgI had so much fun making this whimsical kitty!  She's made from 4 different big cat faux furs by Tissavel.  If you have a moment to peek in on her, she would love a visit from you!

Hi Bobbie and Ev,
I do my ladder stitches like a "Z" as well but I do not put the needle in the same hole as I tend to put it through the thread and it makes a mess.  I didn't realize the you tube video was doing it across rather than zig zag -
Hugs,
Janice  p.s.  Bobbie you are so sweet, please don't apologize for disagreeing - we can all use advice no matter how many years we've been making bears - I do it your way, just didn't realize the video was off - it looked to me like she was zig zagging and I didn't watch till the end to see puckers -

Hi Sheree, maybe if you felt with a bit of an angle rather than straight down in to the foam it will work better?  I felt flat felt on bunny noses all the time but that is on mohair or synthetic with polyfil stuffing inside the bunny's head.  I love the way the flat felt felts!   Maybe something other than foam would work, too - something a little softer?

These are wonderful ideas, Lynne!  I've never used my collection bears for decorating specifically for Christmas but I think it's such a cute idea!  I may set some of them under the tree after reading your post :O)

Thank you so much for your kind words Pauline and Louise.  I thought I might be afraid to use the fabric but it is really very sturdy and strong!  The backing is quite thick!
Hugs,
Janice
