Congratulations!!!! That's wonderful news!!
Welcome to the world little Zack!!!
I was thinking about you and wondering if your little one had arrived yet!!!
Hi Jane,
I went last year, and it was wonderful. I was lucky enough to win one, so that made it extra special.
I would recommend staying in the hotel where it is held, especially if you may feel tired or unwell. It means that when the gala is finished you can simply go upstairs to your room, rather than having to travel to another hotel.
I would love go again, but as you've said, it is a lot of money. The actual fair was wonderful aswell and I had a great time wandering around and spending money!!!
Whilst I was there, I also did the Teddy Bear Artist Invitational, which made it even more worthwhile going all that way. I think there are two weeks between the two events this year though, rather than one week like last year.
If you have any questions about it, feel free to PM me!!!
well......I'm working like mad trying to organise the show in June!!!! I honestly never could have guessed how much work is involved!!!! I'm also trying to get bears done for my own stall at the event. I've got 14 made so far. I guessed I would probably be so busy nearer the time that I made an early start on the bears.
The banner arrived yesterday (which I love!!!).....I'm trying to update the website.....sorting out refreshments......trying to tackle the stall allocation and electricity distribution......and now I'm having to start thinking about 2009, as the best place to start advertising the 2009 event, would be at this years event!!!
So...I should really get back to it......I only popped on the intenet for 5 mintes!!!! (Its now half an hour later!!)
Have a great day!!!

Great website, loads of lovely materials, patterns, books, etc. Great service, lovely people!!! They might be able to help you!!
Congratulations!!!! That is wonderful news!!!!!!
Yep - I went!!! I went with hubby and my Mum, and I met my aunt and cousin there. My aunt collects dolls, and my Mum makes dolls, so along with my love of bears it was a great fair for us all to go to!! We had a great time!! There was so much to see! It was great to see a queue before opening, and there was a real 'buzz'. I'm not sure how much money was being spent on bears though?
We'll be going again next time I hope. It was rather nice to go to a fair without having a stall!!! It felt like being a child again when I used to go to fairs with my Mum and Aunt!!
Wow!!!! I am so completely impressed by your Dad's creativity!!!! These are just stunning!!! Well done Frank!!!!!
ooohh!!! I want to join in!!! I completely missed this before!!
oh wow!!!! I LOVE the Trinny and Susannah shows - been watching them since I was a teenager - you are so lucky to have been able to go and see them!!! What a great experience!!!!
I've finally got my photos sorted so I can share a couple of my stall. Like many others, I just didn't get chance to photograph much else - Jane is such a star with her camera!!!!! :photo:
I had a lovely day - it was so nice to meet so many of you, and to have the chance for a quick chat!! I took 25 bears with me in the end, and 20 of them were adopted, so I was thrilled. I thought the atmosphere and 'buzz' at Hugglets was fab!!
Here are a couple of pics of my stall before opening.
Beautiful bears Jane!!! What wonderful warm colours you have used on all of these!!! Lovely!!!
Thank you all for your comments - I really appreciate them.
These 24 bears are all I've made since Christmas, so they are two months worth of work!!
Paula - I hand sew them all - I'm terrible at using a sewing machine!!!! I do love hand-sewing though.
Wow!!! What a delicious bear!!!! Fab colour - I love her!!!!
I thought I'd share a few of the bears I have got ready to take with me to Hugglets to Sunday. I managed to finish 24 bears - phew!!! There are a few more on my website. Thank you for looking, and I look forward to seeing lots of you on Sunday!!

Awww Lisa - don't even tempt me!!! I would LOVE to go the Expo again this year, but there is no way hubby and I could afford another holiday like that in a while!!! It was such an amazing experience - to have actually been there to win an award was one of the highlights of my life!!!
I would really encourage anyone who has been nominated for a TOBY or GTA to get to a ceremony if they can - it was just so exciting, and you get to meet lovely beary people like Lisa!!!!!
Krista - good to see they've got the correct little puppy picture on the website now!!!
Thank you so much everyone for your kind words. I've still not been officially notified, and I keep checking the TBR website to make sure it is still true!!! Daft -I know!!!!!
Krista - I was wondering about your entry on the website, as your gorgeous Pug dog certainly doesn't look like Ava the chihuahua!!! He is beautiful though!!
Congratulations Bonnie!!!!! 'Dixie' is beautiful!!!!!
