Hi,
Yes, I have received the email and so have quite a few other girls too. As discussed elsewhere, the general impression is that this is definitely a scam and I am ignoring it along with several other people.

Thank you Jane, and a big "HAPPY EASTER" to you and your family too!
Well, I for one won't be ravishing any easter eggs or chocolate ......... sadly, I am allergic to it!!!!!
Enjoy your chocs though!

Hi there,
This could be due to a few problems but it certainly does look like the tension is the problem. Maybe the tension on your bobbin is too loose i.e. affecting the lower thread, but I would first try checking and tightening the tension on the top thread. You are really aiming for an equal tension on both threads. If you bought your machine from a shop, then I am sure they would be able to help and advise you about how to adjust the tension. Otherwise, perhaps contacting Janome direct about the problem and they may even supply you with another instruction manual.
I know how frustrating it is when you can't get a machine to work as you want it to, so good luck.
Just edited - another thought, I have just seen that your machine has automatic tension on it (Janome website). My machine is a different make to yours, but is also computerised. I have a section that I can go in to to alter the manufacturers settings if I want to, to either make all tensions slighter tighter or looser. Maybe the problem is that the manufacturer's settings are too loose for what you are needing, but can be adjusted. I found this to be the case on my Bernina. I do admit though that my dear old Frister Rossman, which was just a normal little old electric sewing machine, was much better and I could make seams as tight as I wanted.

Clever cat - and clever machine! I have never seen a fan heater like that before. I thought it was one for cooling first of all, like you would use in the Summer. Hope we get them over here!

Hello Gaby,
Well, thank you so much for the update on lovely Faye - it brought a tear to my eye and I am so happy to see just how marvelous she is looking now compared to the initial photos we had of her. Just goes to show you should never give up on an animal.
You are such a wonderful person too Gaby, for taking your car to Budapest with tempting goodies for the dogs there.  It's so heartwarming to hear of happy endings isn't it?
Big hugs
Marilyn

Marilyn ........................... still laughing!!!
Yes, very well done indeed Paula!! You so richly deserve this! I think a lot of us are going through a difficult time with finding inspiration to carry on, but with a beautiful trophy like that, it certainly seems something to aim for! Congratulations once again, and also to everyone else who received one too!
With the fact that I have tried to stuff the same head three times today and have now dropped it into my wastebin, I think I need something to aim for!!!!!!! :

Oh Roxanne!!!!!!!!!!! Oh you poor love!!! Don't give up!!!!!!
Your website is full of beautiful bears that have been snapped up by collectors, so loads of people DO love your bears!
I think we have all gone through times of "Why do I bother to do this???", I know I have. You put so much time and effort into things at times, for little or no reward. I would advise you have a good sleep on this, things will look much brighter in the morning! If not, just take a break for a couple of days and do something completely different for a while. I think a lot of us are going through a similar patch as you at the moment, in fact I thought of giving up a couple of months ago. But hey, I'm still here - just!
Your bears are absolutely gorgeous Roxanne and you have so much talent. Don't let some loony on ebay or whatever spoil all the passion you have for your bear making. If you are feeling down at the moment then that is good, because .... the only way is up!!!!!
Now, go give yourself a good talking to!!!!

Wow Daphne, I think your Dad has done absolutely brilliantly!! Well done Frank!!!!! You're a star! I love them all but have a particular liking for the little bunny, Pistachio - very sweet. I know I wouldn't be able to part with them if they were mine!!!
Keep up the good work, and best wishes to you all.

Hi everyone
Oh dear, I have been sitting here glued to" You Tube", watching all the absolutely beautiful cats, some with such grace and poise, showing such intelligence and wonderful behaviour. Then I came across this one ......

Hi, :rose:
Thank you for that Michelle!
Wow, some of those cats are scarey and I am a cat lover!!!
But, whose heart wouldn't melt watching these two lovelies:

Tun your sound up! I honestly do think they are talking to each other.
Awwwwww, I had to play it about three times before it worked properly and the movie wasn't all jerky, but if you can see it working right, then it is really beautiful! What a gorgeous pair of little cats, I would adopt them right now! I will be watching this one over and over!

I loved the way that was written! I feel as though I need something to laugh at today - thank you!

No!!! Was that a joke?? If so I totally missed it. Someone explain it to me..
Hi Debbie,
No, you haven't missed anything, there's nothing to explain - It was not a joke - they were quite serious. Someone did say to me that maybe the person wanted to use the bear for the pattern, but either way, there is no way I would pull a bear apart especially when I have taken hours to get it right in the first place! I just wanted to know if anyone had come across this before!

Hi everyone,
Well, I have had a rather "unusual" request and, for one moment, thought it was April 1st!! (April Fools Day in our part of the world!!).
Someone from the Far East made enquiries about one of my bears which is quite large and heavy, and when I looked into the cost of sending it to them, it proved too expensive.
Their request then was ......... wait for it ............ could I please completely UN-STUFF the bear!!!!!!!!!!! Then, I could send it to them as it would be cheaper and they would then re-stuff it over there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Errrrrrrrrmmmm ..... no comment!
So I was wondering whether anyone had ever had this sort of request before? Is it something that does happen??? Needless to say, I declined!!!!!

Ah, Thank you so much Lynne and Paula! I'm feeling much better now thank you!!
Paula Oh, what a mystery trip I had!! The sat nav took me on a totally different direction to what I was expecting!! Panicked a bit when I saw Blackwell Tunnel signposts and then thought I was on the M25!!! I had a couple of hiccups and then the sat nav decided it was going to go on a break and left me with nothing!!! It got me home though which is the important thing, but I quite enjoyed it in the end! Well done on your trip - I hear you had a little detour too!!!!! Didn't we do well though!!! He He!!

Hi Jane,
I was unwell on Sunday and not able to make it to Hugglets in the end, so I thank you for being so lovely and posting such a wonderful selection of photographs! At least a little part of me thinks I went now as you have captured the atmosphere and I can almost feel the "buzz" of the show. I just hope I get there next year!
Many thanks Jane - you're a star!

Hi!
It is so nice to hear that everyone had such a lovely day at Hugglets so well done to you all!
I had been looking forward to going for ages, but absolutely typically, I went down with a stomach bug the night before and felt a bit grim on the Sunday, and so missed it all!!!! I was NOT a happy bunny! I was so looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing their lovely bears, but alas, it was not to be!! Maybe next year! I even missed last year because my Mum was ill on the day, so maybe it will be third time lucky!!
Thanks to all for showing some lovely pics!

Hi everyone!
Wow, I am almost relieved that I am not the only one!!!! I have been having a dreadful month on the bear front - nothing going right! Things that I normally do without a problem are now causing me such grief!! One particular bear has had three heads, and I have only just left the third head sitting on the table behind me now because that isn't to my liking either!! It was expensive mohair too but it is going all out of shape! I can feel myself getting all "gggggrrrrrrrrrr!" so thought I had better put it down before I ripped the living daylights out of it and bounce it all over the room!!
So I have turned to my dear old computer so as not to throw the head out of the window!!!!! Gggrrrrrrrrr! The most silly simple things are going wrong!!! Yep, printer too! I also cut the wrong head out for another bear and don't have enough mohair left to redo it; I have had to take the stuffing out of various feet because I am not happy with them - oh, so many other stupid things too.
I think the trouble is, that when one particular thing has gone madly wrong, like my heads, I can feel myself all tensing up when trying to make the next one correctly. I don't think I am working any differently to normal but for some weird reason, my stuffing is all going to pot!!! I almost dread trying to get it right so I sit infront of a big pile of stuffing and think "Nope, I'm not in the mood!!" My bear will have to wait. Good job it isn't the one that I am timing to see how long it takes me to make a bear!!!
I'm just relieved that I am not in a rush for a show like a lot of you are at the moment with Hugglets - I would be there with an empty table!!!
I hope everyone's problems are soon a thing of the past!! Happy bearing!!!
Hugs
