Hi all... I have never kept a bear I've made, but I can't part with Winnie....
By the way... she is 2 3/4 inches tall standing and 2 inches sitting....

Oh my gosh, he's daaaarling!!! I loooove his face; you all know what a sucker I am for cute faces!!!!!
Kimberly W.
Hee hee hee, I really like that kitty.... She makes me smile and giggle.... And I know someone (in my family) that I think would really like her....
Kimberly W.
Awww, Dunyasha is super cute! What a face! And I see she's warmed right up to Cassie bear!!

I have always used polyester upholstery thread on all of my minis, no matter how small. I also always backstitch all pieces.
Kimberly W.
OK, OK... NOW I see it!
Here I thought someone didn't like me and didn't put it in mine... HA HA
Kimberly W.
OK, I must be the one going bonkers... because I don't see anything....
lol
Kimberly W.
I did it again, you guys.....
I was at Wal Mart getting groceries, and this lady walks by with her little girl in the cart. Well, the first thing I noticed was that little girls coat. It was the most awesome faux fur with subtle highlights and this lovely sheen. I literally caught myself turning and peeking back around the corner to take another look at that coat.
In my head "ooooo, that would make a niiice bear.... wonder where she got that jacket... wonder if she'd miss it?" ha!

Oh Sue Ann,
No worries, and Burleson is BEAUTIFUL!! I can see why he was nominated.
Hayley, hilarious story! But why on EARTH did they do it with their teeth back in the day?!?!?!?! I think that's the last thing I'd do!! ha!
Kimberly W.
Well, I'm going waaaay back on subject in this post, but my husband can touch his nose with his tongue, too! Don't ask.....
Kimberly W.
Oh, yeah, and I forgot... I always say (example), "NO, we don't touch the kitty." Repetition and consistency is key.
Hi Brenda,
I am the owner of a two year old, myself... She is much the same, always pushing the limits. What I do is watch her like a hawk. Probably some would say this is not the thing to do, but hey everyone raises their kids differently. I will actually put her in the situation, and watch her like a hawk, though she doesn't realize it. Then, as soon as she is going for it, I say "NO" grab her, and move her. I'll do that over and over til she gets the point. It's quicker to just put her in the situation and nip it in the bud, rather than sit around waiting for the time to arise.....
Not sure if I helped, but that's what I do!
Kimberly W.
HA HA HA HA HAA!!! OK, I need to go to bed. I can practically hear that guy 'ripping one'....
lol
Kimberly W.
HAR HAR HAR HAR HAR!!!! That thing (the blob fish) is HILARIOUS!!! and UUUUGLY!!!! It looks like a grouchy bald man who can't control his bodily functions....
Kimberly W.
Awwww, thanks Kim Bee.... And thanks for reminding me! I nearly forgot!!

Hee hee, being an animal lover and all... this is fun! I had to think....
I think the strangest animal is the Hyena. What freakishly strange creatures. The 'packs' are completely matriarchal, with a female as a leader and once the males come near sexual maturity, they are attacked and thrown out of the group. The females have 'male parts' if you catch me, and they use them as such to incite dominance over the lesser females in the pack. Hyenas actually hunt more than lions, and lions bully their way in and scavange food from Hyenas, making them in fact more scavengers than the hyena. Hyenas also ONLY fear a male lion. They will actually attack and torment the females, which is where a male lion's role comes in so strong, since they aren't as good at hunting. Wow, I was rambling. I am a fountain of useless animal knowledge..... ha

lol, Shelli did an awesome job on the photos. Thank you, Shelli!!!!!
Wow, the next time I need a little pick-me-up boost, I know where to come!
Thank you for the compliments on my 'maturity level'... It's funny, I get that a lot. I look like a kid, sound like a mature adult, and act anywhere in between. Sometimes I get those silly hairs up my butt and just act soooo stupid!! You should see me at work!
Kimberly W.
OH! I almost forgot to show those great pics Shelli did!! She is so awesome; she even took the darker circles out from under my eyes! Those are compliments of getting up at 3:45 am every morning with less than 4 hours sleep.... yuck!
Oooo, tammy... Loving your tags with the paper punched corners.... very nice and elegant...
Penny, I thought it'd be hard or dangerous til I used it, then I realized, "This is simple!!" lol
Kimberly W.
Awww, thanks you all! Those are such nice things to say (although I personally don't think so!
) You are all so awesome and motivating!!
Anne, I am actually 27, which is young when put in perspective... but I'm no spring chicken! lol
I used to work at a Japanese restaurant not too long ago (less than a year ago) that my friends own, and the owner (and chef) was joking around about how we and someo f the customers we were serving we are going to drink after work, and one of the guys goes, "Yeah... You're not coming," to me, and I was like, "Gee thanks... why not?" and he was like, "Because... what are you, all of 17?" I wasn't sure if I should have been offended or flattered.

Hi all,
After a long and exhausting weekend of a very tough death and funeral, I have not been able to get on here and keep up with the goings on on TT. I feel like I've been gone for ever!
I had a couple of photos taken of me and wanted to use one of them for my website, etc. etc. Which one do you guys think is better? Eventually I'd like to have a photo of myself among a myriad of bears, but for now I will fly solo.... What do you all think? I guess this is a lot of bear folk's first look at me, too....
Thanks in advance for the input,
Kimberly W.
Ha! I thought I was the only one who hated sewing in footpads!!!! Yay! Now I don't feel so alone! I will be happily sewing along and then it happens, I 'ugh' because I've come to the footpads....
Kimberly W.
Hey Kim,
Yes, you need to stop being so hard on yourself! I TOLD you!! LOL All this miniature bear making stuff is a precise thing. Eventually, you'll tinker with the pattern til it's 'just right' and you'll be on your way!
You have no idea how many heads I had laying around with no eyes or anything when I first started because I just didn't like how they turned out. Our shelf unit in the breakfast nook started to look like something out of a b class teddy bear headhunter movie. I got the hint and finally chucked them all when my husband started finding all of my pins scattered about and used the heads for pin cushions.
