OMG I fallen in love .... with margo
Very sweet!
Isn't it cute - it looks like a little bear cub.
Another super creation Linda - I love him!
Do you class Steiff in the in the yuk catagory too?
Ooh - can I have a grey one as well!
Thanks Katy!
I heard last night that Jonathan Ross's beloved black Pug, "Mr Pickles", has died of a heart attack.
"Wossy" is apparantly distraught.
It was "Mr Pickles" who made me fall in love with the Pug breed. Jonathon used to bring him to his shows - and he (Pickles) had a very nonchalant attitude, he really made me laugh.
Rest in peace "Mr Pickles".
Well, I went on the course and although it wasn't completely what I had hoped for, I now feel I have the confidence needed to go ahead onto the Patchwork and Quilting which I am going on at the end of July.
There was one woman who was worse than me - she had an Elna that had laid in its box for over two years and was getting its first outing  at least mine hadn't made the one year mark (5th September).
It is a remarkably easy machine actually.

Hi there!
Yes, I agree - Charlie Bears are hardly One of a kind - artists bears but I cannot help feeling you are being a little harsh describing them "a yuk".
They are well made mass produced bears and I know they have a large following on this site amoungst collectors.
Personally I don't collect - just make, but I can understand why people collect them, although I agree there should be another section to put them under.
Karon
Not a bear making one though
No, several months ago I achieved my "ambition" of buying a brand new Bernina - the only trouble is I look at it but am too terrified to use it and messing it all up.
So I have booked onto a "Get to know your sewing machine" course were I can build up a bit of confidence - especially as in early August I will be doing a Summer School on Patchwork and Quilting and I want to use it.

I was going great guns until my the latest disturbance in my personal life ... well at least its a nice one!
Still ... at least head is done (the worst part) and all limbs are sew up ready for stuffing .
Aghh ... he's sweet Andrea.
Yep ... he is definately a cousin to my Snowflake!
Karon
Adorable pug - don't like the silly slippers though!
That made laugh, so cute!
Well ... I think Facebook is great. Without it I am not sure how I would have tracked down my daughter.
Mindyou I only have THREE friends - shame .... And then I only reply via personal message.
I have also bought stuff from Bear Basics both in person and over the internet. I have found their service speedy and efficient HOWEVER I have found that it is not ever worthwhile trying to phone - it rarely gets answered.
I would give it a 9/10!!!!!
Clare and I intend to keep in touch regarding making the bear, so perhaps you will see the results on TT!
I still can't believe Clare actually gave me the pattern - that was SO kind and generous. Sorry to repeat myself ......
It has made me REALLY happy, as I am on a bit of an emotional roller-coaster at the moment (typical Libran )

Very beautiful!
Very cute but nope - definately NOT an Egnglish Bulldog!
Yesterday I received the nicest surprise.
Clare (Clarebear) and I were going halves on a Terry John Woods pattern. It arrived yesterday and I am so thrilled to say Clare gifted me the original pattern.
Clare I am overwhelmed by your generosity - thank you so, so much.
I feel as though I should keep it in a safe-deposit box - but I haven't got one!!!!!!!
Thank you many times.
Love Karon
Hi Louise
You KNOW I would just LOVE to have you living around the corner or even a couple of hundred miles up the motorway (friendship doesn't know distance!).
Love you Louise
