Not a bear making one though
No, several months ago I achieved my "ambition" of buying a brand new Bernina - the only trouble is I look at it but am too terrified to use it and messing it all up.
So I have booked onto a "Get to know your sewing machine" course were I can build up a bit of confidence - especially as in early August I will be doing a Summer School on Patchwork and Quilting and I want to use it.
Karon
Have fun on the course
My wee machine's getting a real workout at the moment, so I got it an overlocker to keep it company
Hope you enjoy your course!
Have fun on your course
Good for you Karon, it is always good to know how to use the machine you have properly. Sewing is wonderful, I love to sew and do not do enough of it.
Enjoy the course and give us all some feedback.
Hugs Pat
Well, I went on the course and although it wasn't completely what I had hoped for, I now feel I have the confidence needed to go ahead onto the Patchwork and Quilting which I am going on at the end of July.
There was one woman who was worse than me - she had an Elna that had laid in its box for over two years and was getting its first outing  at least mine hadn't made the one year mark (5th September).
It is a remarkably easy machine actually.
Karon
Glad you feel more comfortable with it now
Thanks Katy!
Thats brilliant Karon. I expect great things from you and your patchwork/quilting course now - how about a fall length bed throw
Oooh I remember you getting that machine Karen and how thrilled you were, must be great to know how it all works now.
