I was the last person who thought I would get involved with the re born doll process, but I have and I enjoy every minute of creating the doll. I only see it as a doll and even when it is finished I still see it as a doll and not a baby.
My husband thinks they are creepy as does my son and daughter in law.
I see the doll making, bear making, patchwork, and any other craft I do, as a craft which brings me pleasure and I am thankful to be able to do this, as without my crafts, perhaps I would be walking the streets with a doll pretending it is a baby, as I know from first hand experience what it is to see your baby in an incubator, not being able to touch, and then being told that you are the luckiest girl as your baby is now with Jesus.
My belief is that anything taken to extremes is dangerous and I try not to judge others as I do not know what tragedies have touched their lives.

Marilyn, were we live you do not see them, my son sees some in the Cape and then I have watched their antics when in the UK.
I have just returned from the dog parlor, my 5 are getting washed and the owner had 3 maltese puppies in the back(8 weeks old) , which I refused to look at as 5 dogs at the moment are enough !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an email doing the rounds, thought I would share with those who do not see it.
FINNEGAN THE SQUIRREL
Debby Cantlon, who plans to release Finnegan, the young squirrel, back into the wild, bottle-fed the infant squirrel after it was brought to her house. When Cantlon took in the tiny creature and began caring for him, she found herself with an unlikely nurse's aide: her pregnant Papillion, Mademoiselle Giselle .
Finnegan was resting in a nest in a cage just days before Giselle was due to deliver her puppies.Cantlon and her husband watched as the dog dragged the squirrel's cage twice to her own bedside before she gave birth
Cantlon was concerned, yet ultimately decided to allow the squirrel out and the inter-species bonding began.
Finnegan rides a puppy mosh pit of sorts, burrowing in for warmth after feeding, eventually working his way beneath his new litter mates.
Two days after giving birth, mama dog Giselle allowed Finnegan to nurse; family photos and a videotape show her encouraging him to suckle alongside her litter of five pups
Now, Finnegan mostly uses a bottle, but still snuggles with his 'siblings' in a mosh pit of puppies, rolling atop their bodies, and sinking in deeply for a nap.
Finnegan makes himself at home with his new litter mates, nuzzling nose-to-nose for a nap after feeding.
Finnegan and his new litter mates, five Papillion puppies, get along together as if they were meant to.

It was difficult judging, the top 6 nominated were all first place winners, unfortunately only one could get there.
The results of all are on the website.

The hats and angels are thanks to a good friend of mine who is coming with me.
Between her and me we get the bits and pieces done. We are both looking forward to this trip, she came with me 2 years ago and we had lots of fun. Just picture two grannies, having a fit of the giggles with passer by's thinking we are totally mad and the more they look the more we giggle.
Laughing is the best cure for all ailments.

The doll with the red hair is my "AiméeDinky" as I think she will have red hair. If I get off my computer I must go pack.

With my grand daughter arriving, things are rather hectic as I finally get things finished and packed for the two exhibitions I am attending.
With the Taiwanese and Korean collector market being small I am taking other craft items to sell. Besides the items shown below I am taking antique lace and hand dyed silk ribbon

Minki says sitting with mom while feeding Aimée is great.
A picture that tells a story
4 days old
They are calling her Aimee, with the accent on the first e.
They have also given her Sandy's maiden name which is Lilliecrona, a Swedish surname. So a long name for her.
Now I can crawl into bed and catch up with some sleep.

thanks all, tomorrow I fly back home. It is an early start as we have a 5.45am flight. Then back to final preparations for Korea and Taiwan.

I am registered via EBay UK, and cannot find my dashboard.

Jane, her hair is fair and actually not that much, the scans had us fooled. Right now mom is feeding. It is interesting to watch little Minki(grand daughter woofs), she is not so sure about this new arrival and has already had a few sniffs. Max is also looking at all this, and both Jeannie and Jacky could not be bothered at all, far better to chase cats instead.

Well our little one said Saturday was the day and after keeping her mother in labour for hours on hours and with each visit the Dr saying another two hours then into theatre for a caesar, Sandy eventually was able to have a natural birth with the help of an epidural.
I was able to get a flight back to Cape Town and was outside the curtain in the labour room, so heard her take her first cry and was then able to spend some time with proud mom and dad. Sandy is back home so I will help them for tonight and then her mom will arrive.
Mom is fast asleep with baby on her chest and I am on duty so will post some pictures later.
I am walking on air with a grin from ear to ear.

I was chatting to some local bear makers re the Oz Bear Magazine. Our SA teddy bear magazine went out the door and was replaced with a "Stitches and bears" much to the disappointment of SA bear people.
With being able to get your magazine in SA people are paying the higher price to get the "real" thing. Your magazine is enjoyed by many.
